Drinksmaster is one of their more profitable arms so, assuming debt is resolved, retaining Drinksmaster is a good thing long term. Also, correct me if I'm wrong but the EBITDA looks good to me
Short term it is disappointing news that the Drinksmaster sale hasn't gone through as this would have provided financial security, but providing the debt can be resolved, with Boris presumably, Drinksmaster is a another string to the SNAK bow going forward for future income. In the below article link I note the following re sales & growth: 'In April, the company had predicted that earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation would be about GBP1.3 million in the financial year to end-March, 2014. In a trading update Thursday, it said it now expects the figure to be about GBP1.1 million. That would still be a 60% increase on the GBP0.7 million of Ebitda it reported in its previous financial year, on revenue of GBP19 million, down from GBP20.5 million.' http://www.lse.co.uk/AllNews.asp?code=puh2jq4c&headline=SnackTime_Plummets_On_Profit_Warning_And_As_Drinkmaster_Sale_Pulled So we haven't increased Ebitad by as much as we hope but 60% increase, considering the apparent internal mess, isn't to be sniffed at.
Is that a guess or do you know a timeframe for something?
Well I very much hope so, I recently found out that my only source of info moved on a good few months back (never met him just mutual friends of friends) so I'm hoping for the best. But it all makes sense doesn't it for something to come of this.
Looks like I could be wrong on this one, was hoping for some news today. Might have to review and think again. Anyone got any ideas if anything s going on as I'm working with old info sadly.
That's my thoughts as well. Tomorrow is the first day Boris could choose make another offer for SNAK if that is his plan. Fingers crossed! Let's see what this week brings......
Cookaburrow, please could you share your information on which suppliers have stopped supplying SNAK?
TRV, yes it was myself that believed that SNAK was a coin toss but I believe it might be an excellent multi-bagging one if it lands the right side up. Albeit possibly over a 2-3 year time period. While there appears to be a lot of activity on this board the last couple of days can I please ask if there is a consensus on why the last take-over bid failed? There doesn't seem to be one.
Cookaburrow, please could you identify which suppliers are currently not supplying SNAK? If you can kindly supply this information I will put this question to my contact as I would like to know his take on any supplier issue.
True, Boris could let it go pop and then pick over the bones and pull out the best bits but I'm not sure that's what he has in mind.
Well that's what I'm hoping too, but I'm just waiting for funds to become available before I make a final decision one way or another. However after hearing this morning's news on the Russian imposed trade sanctions I just hope this, or any future escalation of sanctions, doesn't affect Boris's plan to invest and, critically, import Uvenco vending equipment in to the UK.
After a tip-off from a friend I've been looking it to SNAK as a potential investment and so have read the past years worth of RNS's and posts on LSE. As a result I have some outstanding questions which I would very much welcome you thoughts upon: BACK HISTORY - Why did Blair Jenkins leave only to come bounding back with the Glimmer set up and Uvenco joint venture with Boris? Just seems a bit odd when he was an SNAK founder? THE TAKE-OVER - Has anyone established why the last take-over attempt failed? Was is due to Vendia demanding too higher price? FUTURE - If a further, presumably Boris-lead, takeover doesn't come, can Snacktime survive longterm? I note that SNAK are trying to sell Drinksmaster to reduce debt. Many thanks for your assistance. I have asked the same questions, and some more besides, to someone not on these boards who might be in the know and so if I get a response, and he is happy for me to share, I will add the info here.
