I've always assumed a weak GBP is good for us against the dollar as the gold is shipped to North America for processing and presumably converted in to dollars over there. Is that then converted to GBP hence the benefit of a weak sterling?

South Korean jets fired 360 rounds of warning shots after a Russian military plane violated South Korea’s airspace, Seoul officials said, in the first such incident between the countries.
The three Russian planes had entered the South Korean air defence identification zone with two Chinese bombers, but it was not immediately known whether the two countries deliberately did so, according to the South Korean official.

Cradle Arc plays for time at Mowana as it seeks a sustainable funding solution.

An application has been made to the Botswana High Court for Cradle Arc's 60% owned subsidiary, Leboam Holdings, to be placed into provisional liquidation as parallel talks on an alternative funding arrangement continue.
'Disappointed' maybe the understatement of the year.
I've been here since the ALO days, not posted here for about a year as my original investment was hardly worth anything. But I stupidly added several hundred more pounds this year to bring my average down a little bit on the hope that one day I might be able to get some money out of this. My current investment is worth about £1,000 but probably lost closer to £10,000 on his dog but most that was in the ALO days. I feel most for GS who is going to be so disappointed when he sees this.
FROM THE BELOW ARTICLE:

Cradle Arc heads off share dilution by agreeing to buy back convertible loan notes.
Cradle Arc has simplified and strengthened its capital structure and announced plans to increase its stake in Leboam, the owner of the Mowana copper mine in Botswana.
Cradle Arc (LON:CRA) has thrashed out a deal to redeem its convertible loan notes at a cost of £1.59mln.
Holders of the loan notes have agreed to suspend their conversion rights and accept redemption payments by way of staged and back-end weighted payments up to their scheduled maturity date of December 31, 2018.
The loan notes have a redemption value of £1.28mln and could have been converted into Cradle Arc shares at a significant discount (20 – 25%) to the current share price, so the agreement prevents current shareholders from having their stakes heavily diluted.

Cradle Arc will pay for the redemption with funds raised from a share issue at 5p a share plus funds received from certain warrant holders exercising said warrants.
Subscribers to the share issue have chipped in £2.4mln; surplus funds left over after settling the redemption of loan notes will augment working capital for the company's Mowana copper mine in Botswana.
Something is definitely happening RNS:
Further to the Company's announcement on 2 July 2018, the Company announces that Boris Belotserkovsky will be investing £100,000 in the Company through a subscription for 5,000,000 new ordinary shares of 2 pence each ("Shares") at 2 pence per Share. This investment is expected to complete on or before 31 July 2018. Furthermore, Boris Belotserkovsky has confirmed to the Company that he would be willing the provide additional funding on the same terms, if required
Anyone else have any idea what this is all about?......
RNS: The Company is currently in the early stages of evaluating the reverse acquisition of a business controlled by Boris Belotserkovsky. The business, which operates in the technology sector is recently-established but the Independent Directors believe there are significant growth opportunities if appropriate funding can be secured. There can, however, be no certainty that the acquisition will proceed, nor the terms on which it may do so.
Thanks for the replies everyone and the contact details. Still not had response to my my query form them though. Winadu, how did you contact them to get that reply? My certificate number is 222, similar and so would assume the same answer would apply to me.
I'll go back to HL and see if they will accept my certificate on the basis CRA believe it's still valid even thought it says ALO on in. Thanks everyone.
Has anyone managed to get a new share certificate from CRA? Have contacted HL and II and will open an account with one of them this week to get my CRA shares listed but both have asked me to get my ALO certificate updated to a CRA certificate.
I've tried contacting CRA through their website query page but so far no response. https://cradlearc.com/contacts/
Has anyone got a phone number I could contact them on or an email address? Maybe being thick here but can't see it on their website.
Just looked at HL, they seem expensive? 0.45% annual charge on your holding and £11.95 per trade. Massively more than HSBC. Are HL worth it?
Thanks hj6670, I'll have a look at H&L. Just been looking at Interactive Investors offering this morning, quite like their fee structure has anybody tried them? Cheers.
Does anyone use this website (LSE) to trade with and if so are they any good?
Thanks Solg, HSBC just sent me an Alecto certificate and them removed them from my account while we were suspended. Just checked again today, doesn't matter if it's a normal trading account or an ISA you can only sell CRA at HSBC they will not let you buy. Or register shares with them. Don't understand that at all.
Hi Cabman, i feel your pain. My certificate is also for Alecto shares, probably should have made that clear to start with. I too had mentally written it off so have done little to get them registered. But want to do so now as, can't believe I'm about to say this, I'm actually considering averaging down. *wince* ;)
Who else are people with who will accept CRA shares? Thanks
A bit of an off topic, but who do guys deal your CRA shares with and who would you recommend? The reason I ask is that, after 9 months of asking, HSBC are refusing to accept my CRA share certificate to get my (diluted pittance) shares registered again. They continually tell me that they only offer CRA as 'sell only' and will not allow me register my shares or buy new ones. Does anyone else have this issue? Many thanks.
