Arrow street reduced short again on 17 Mar - but only by .07%.

They’re still over 2% short! They’ve had so many chances to close out at a profit but not taken them.

Cue the very small violins and the P45s. 😀

Another chunky BB announced this morning. 300,000 shares @ $14.20 - all in a single transaction so looks like another privately arranged settlement with a seller.

I’d guess next one is when Genel’s Oman operation is pumping oil - at least 2 years away yet.

The agreement you reference is to allow pumping of oil from kirkuk out northwards. It won’t be oil from Tawke even if there were an agreement to agree to.

SOMO have more oil than they can export at present - they won’t be agreeing to buy more they can’t move anytime soon.

We’re on local sales only for the next few months at least probably longer.

“We” haven’t. DNO and Genel are not part of the export deal the other IOCs agreed with SOMO / KRG.

2025 results and 2026 forecast were both in the Trading and ops update released in Jan.

Doubt the accounting details beneath these numbers will change anything significantly.

Guess the only change might be a downgrade to 2026 forecasts based on current events.

Not sure there are any takeover rumours other than the ones generated by forum users. 😀

If you were a prospective buyer would you have started takeover proceedings when share price was at £1.70 and they were ramping up production with an export contract or now (share price over £2, no production for the foreseeable future and export deal being renegotiated yet again between KRG and Iraq)?

Guess you could argue that the value of their reserves has gone up - but as soon as you can safely extract it the price will be back down to average levels again.

Don’t disagree with any of that. My question was why 5 days of BBs in a single RNS. Never seen that with anyone else before.

Seems Iraq are looking to re-open an old pipeline from Kirkuk to Ceyhan - passing through a portion of KRG but possibly then reducing the amount of KRG IOC oil that will make it to international prices via the pipeline.

Given the reduced incomes of both Iraq and KRG and their previous records on late payments (or even non payments) for delivered oil perhaps DNO sitting out of the exporting contract a while longer will be beneficial.

At least once production starts up again, local sales paid in advance will have an immediate return to cashflow. Exporting via SOMO certainly won’t.

I’ve sold up my GKP shares in the expectation there’s only more monies owed coming their way in next 5/6 months even if production re-starts.

Strange to see one covering purchases across 5 days rather than the more normal daily ones.

Surely if part of the aim is to support the share price (as well as merely buy back shares whilst price is low) then a daily RNS would do that better - showing continued buying. Are they just hoping to buy lots whilst price was low and let share price sort itself out later?

It’s not like today’s 5 day announcement has bumped the price.

“ Nothing keeps me invested long term” - you have been! Invested at least since share price was £1.40 pre consolidation and still here moaning every day.

I never said the were macro events that only impacted DEC - as you’ve just acknowledged in your C&P of my quote! Macro events have obviously impacted all companies. Not equally because they’re at different stages of growth / borrowing / production.

I’ve never given a timescale because I don’t know. my question is what are these “world macro events” that you mentioned because they have not affected other O&G companies not even its peers, hence my question.

I’m happy to take the divvy - I’ve had decent dividends for 10 years now and although my capital is showings paper loss I’m in no rush to sell. Reconsider prior to next US elections perhaps.
