So down 12% from 31st’s high of £14.20 or so is about £12.50 (which was the share price just before 1545). That’s fair enough - but why buy back today at £13?

Sell low buy high hardly ever works.

Big US volumes both during hours (200% of daily average) and after hours 290k @ an elevated price of $17.74 ish.

Not a problem pre UK close - 32,000 share @ 1410 so price holding up here ok.

Over 100% of average US volume before 2pm their time so guess a large sale / sales went through - rest of the US indices look positive.

I was thinking this morning that uk prices looked the end of the party for this rise.

See how many people are re-investing dividends tomorrow but might be time to sell a chunk and derisk!

Up 11% today

Up 21% in a week

Up 40% in a month

Up 50% in 3 months.

And we haven’t even loaded a trailer, sold a single load, agreed an offtake or re-entered Inez yet.

Doubt many people have better performing investments 😀

Definitely not local gas prices - if the impact is Iran war related then it’s merely local security of supply (same going on with helium supplies - look at Helix for example).

I think the results were better than you did - but again that wouldn’t have done much more than a steady increase (I was hoping for 15% over the year, not in a week).

Your others might have a teeny impact on price but I doubt on volumes.

So what is the something else?

Takeover? Not sure why. Firstly it would be hostile, can’t see Rusty letting his baby go now he’s got it to this size. Any prospective candidates could presumably have done maverick / canvas deals at cost rather than pay a premium buying the whole of DEC. Anyone really want those AROs???

Maybe just income funds who like the 6.5% (and perhaps have been promised more in due course)?

Not often I agree with Terry but this unusual volume has continued since then - still 190% of average in the US yesterday, followed by an extra 290k shares after hours at $18.60 (2 plus per cent above market close price).

The 15 million EIG shares were absorbed fairly quickly (who is now saying EIG knew what they were doing shafting DEC in the acquisition?😀)

Someone is still buying lots.

I understand the sellers taking profits and the dividend doesn’t look so attractive at 6.5 % before WHT in the UK but something is happening in the US. Perhaps just a realisation that local resources are more important than previously thought, perhaps a better understanding of business model or perhaps something more dramatic.

Time for trailing stop losses rather than selling I think.

A NED retirement was announced recently by RNS - the individual had been in post for 2 years. What had he achieved in that time with his expert knowledge?

Local sales in limited volumes at half market price - think we could have managed fine without his help or salary.

As for the rest of the BoD - they were several years too late to recognise the need for income streams from other jurisdictions. Then they were too slow to come to a deal (Oman - which is on pretty poor terms with us paying all the pre production costs).

Very poor call on the gas field arbitration case costing us millions and leaving a massive bill for KRG legal costs!

I emailed a question at investors meeting asking if they were forgoing bonuses and taking pay cuts - no answer!

This has just been a lifestyle company for directors since 2023.

They don’t mention a single II reducing its holding - and we all know there has been at least one big one (EIG at 15million shares) so makes you question impartiality.

Still, the rise continues on both sides of the Atlantic 😀

Millenium choose to re-start a short the same time as Arrow Street are reducing their longer term one. Opinions may be divided 😀.

I’m pretty sure Millenium lost big time on their last short and given this one started on the 25th it’s over 5% in the red already.

I’m not down 42% because my timings have been better than yours!

Strategy of required resources in a stable location, economically extracted is paying off and looks likely to continue. Doubtless sped up by the war but DEC was always a less profitable / less risky option than ME resources.

Could I have made more elsewhere - obviously, but that’s always the case. Investing with 20/20 hindsight is easy.

When we’re rising very little or no comment! Should share price fall - a flood of green filtered boxes and doom and gloom suddenly appears.

Mr negative will repeat his down 50% over 5 years mantra (it’s actually 42%) - but must surely now recognise that’s more about his timing than just share price performance 😀

Timed at 1346 when the surrounding sells were at 34p. Unlikely a trade of that magnitude would be a sell at a higher price than the smaller sells. So, a buy for me - tying in with other significant trades reported late / totalling about 850k shares - all looking like buys. 😀
