That article applies to a friend of my wifes and he is a retired Headmaster, goes every year, and lives in a Disney fantasy world.

The Bill has everything to do with Stablecoin if you had just done some basic research.

Now on it's way to becoming law.

FYI:

Stablecoins which reference their value in relation to fiat currencies can be seen as more akin

to traditional payment instruments, than other types of cryptoassets such as those used

primarily as a means of investment (for example, Bitcoin).

This Bill brings activities facilitating the use of certain stablecoins, where used as a means of

payment, into the UK regulatory perimeter primarily by amending the existing electronic-

money and payment system regulatory frameworks.

FSMB Likely to Become Law Soon

The 340-page FSMB was introduced in July 2022 in an attempt to stabilize Britain’s financial condition post-Brexit. The original bill included plans to regulate stablecoins, but provisions for managing crypto as a regulated activity were later included. Legislators subsequently added crypto promotion supervision as the bill passed through parliament.

The FSMB will now undergo its final stages before becoming law: Consideration of Amendments (Now completed today) and then, finally, Royal Assent.

How is Exchange Market Size (EMS) calculated?

On the London Stock Exchange, the EMS is set differently for each individual stock. For SETS securities, it is 1% of average daily turnover (ADT) of shares divided by the average share price for the period of ADT calculation (subject to an upper cap of around £25k and a lower cap of £2.5k). For SETSqx and SEAQ securities, EMS consists of 2% of ADT divided by the average share price for the period of ADT calculation.

Based on the above, it makes sense that larger, more liquid securities should have a higher EMS, and smaller cap companies with lower levels of ADT should have a smaller EMS.
