The bottom line is this.
China, Russia, USA, et al need to change on CC, not going to happen anytime soon.
Let's also not forget that companies like BP and Shell are already investing in Renewable Energy, they are after all 'Energy Companies'.
They will develop a portfolio of 'Energy Generating Investments'
The big issue however or the 'Elephant in the Room' of course is, the provision of a sufficiently large enough alternative energy resource that can be brought onto stream over the next 10 years or so, to totally replace oil.
It ain't going to happen.
The fact is we do not have sufficient Electrical power generation within the UK, unless and until, we adopt more Nuclear generation and that in itself is a big political issue as we have seen with EDF, pulling out as too expensive, it's crazy.
The present government have done SFA in ensuring this happens.
EV's ? when all plug their cars in overnight, they will wake up in the morning and wonder why their toaster isn't working. :)
