Let's also not forget that companies like BP and Shell are already investing in Renewable Energy, they are after all 'Energy Companies'.

The big issue however or the 'Elephant in the Room' of course is, the provision of a sufficiently large enough alternative energy resource that can be brought onto stream over the next 10 years or so, to totally replace oil.

It ain't going to happen.

The fact is we do not have sufficient Electrical power generation within the UK, unless and until, we adopt more Nuclear generation and that in itself is a big political issue as we have seen with EDF, pulling out as too expensive, it's crazy.

The present government have done SFA in ensuring this happens.

EV's ? when all plug their cars in overnight, they will wake up in the morning and wonder why their toaster isn't working. :)

Anyway, bottom line for me is, that this issue is not going to be solved by the UK in isolation, nor is the demand for oil suddenly going to be become extinct.

The Annual Report is very encouraging and certainly gives me confidence that I have I have made a wise investment choice in HUR.

Obviously always a risk present, but overall am pleased with the competence of HUR and the strategy of taking on Spirit Energy etc to share the risk and costs.

All I can say is, thank God I put a few quid into HUR, to counterbalance my paper losses in UKOG.

As to FB, the depths are somewhat different.

UKOG is a long, long, long, long, term play, I have to accept that now, it's been hard to accept it though. Lol!!

At the moment, UKOG are certainly not interested in maintaining shareholder value sadly, that is evident from the recent placings without any supportive announced rationale.

Time for a PR exercise to boost morale, time for some transparency, as the vague RNS's are becoming tiresome I have to conclude.

The fact is this.

Can you imagine all folk down your road plugging their cars in to recharge, only to wake up in the morning to find that the local substation has blown a fuse.

Either we have more Nuclear powered stations to plug the gap or this so called EV fairytale is doomed from day one.

Renewable's will only provide a very tiny proportion of required power, you cannot rely on wind turbines in filling that gap.

Given that Centrica own about 69% or thereabouts of Spirit Energy, and given that Centrica's SP is currently in freefall, what ramifications might this pose for the long term financial viability of Spirit and thus their involvement of the GWA?
