Diving in caves with Stalactites and Stalacmites , where you run the risk of being caught by your own gear and drowning.

I did O-Level Geology and we had a fantastic teacher who took us on a field trip Caving, and I will never forget it, amazing experience, trying to squeeze through very tight holes..

Finding large Quartz crystals( I think they are still in my loft somewhere) with a a very purple tinge, we were not too far away from the Blue John mines in Derbyshire.

I wish now in hindsight, but albeit too late, that I should have pursued a Geological career path, and maybe Oil industry related as I loved it.

Alas, I didn't but I did manage to spend 3+ years in Aberdeen working in the Oil Industry and loved every moment of it.

Yes agree highly recommended, makes you realise just how dangerous diving in the North Sea is, no wonder they pay them what they do, not that I know what that is these days, but they certainly deserve all that that they earn for sure.

Saturation diving from what i have learned from this documentary is another world indeed.

What are the long term medical effects on a diver in choosing to spend so much time on mixtures of Helium and Oxygen , ie 28 Days?

As for Angels, yes, how did he survive after being there in a 4Deg C environment and more than 30 minutes after his own air supply ran out?

There are parallel's where young children have fallen through broken ice on a lake and have been rescued and survived, maybe a combination of low temperatures, low metabolic rates , and oxygen already in tissues has enabled survival, all very interesting.

Someone on this BB mentioned this documentary a week or so ago, about a true event of a deep sea diver in the North Sea whom was working on a Manifold 100m down. The vessels' Dynamic Positioning System' failed in a storm, and the vessel moved offsite causing severance of the divers umbilical chord.

The diver then had 5 minutes emergency air supply from own tanks, but miraculously survived in temperatures of 4Deg C, with no life support systems of warm water and oxygen etc..

It certainly is a very moving and interesting account, and worth watching.

On this particular topic, the question is unfortunately in the back of all investors minds or at least it should be.

For some time now we have been slowly witnessing one industry sector correction after another.

High Street Retail failures, Quantitative Easing and it's reversal by central banks no more cheap credit, .it may not happen tomorrow, but the trend ie, a slowdown in global growth, China and Germany in particular as of late is painting a picture of a coming correction just around the corner, imo..

Sorry, but I am wholly against the whole concept of Carbon Credits.

Why because the EU introduced it and more importantly British Steel faced a fine of £500m from the European commission,but here's the lunacy as far as I can discern, entity's can buy and sell them, it's almost akin to a Ponzi /Junk Bond scheme

Who is making money out of this?

Bottom line is this.

£120M for what? the whole carbon credit fiasco is a means of punishment, it serves no real economic purpose.

ie, Carefully crafted EU policies, soon we will be reading that the British Steel Industry has relocated to Romania.l

There will be a lot of folk , myself included whom are sufficiently down on our investment so far. Looking at your figures you are down by about £60K ?

I was down by about £32K, I decided to sell UKOG after learning about the Surrey County Council delay till mid/late June of the planning application for production, to recover what I could roughly 40% of my investment and stick it elsewhere where I believed I would gain a return in a shorter time frame, easier said than done, but that is what I have done.I will however be back into UKOG as I really think it will come good but is going to take changes to the management of the company in order to drive things forward without continuous dilution.

Sometimes, you have to take a painful decision. AIM is a news driven but irrational market as it largely traded to oblivion and can test the patience of a Saint.

At the end of the day, if you don't need the money now and believe the company will come good you just have to stick with it.

In my case I took a risk and jumped ship for now.

I sincerely wish you and your wife all the best and maybe you might think about a similar strategy, your health is what matters more than anything and investing in AIM.

Get back what you can and look at a more promising alternative.
