During his time as finance minister under former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Sunak announced he wanted to turn the U.K. into a crypto hub. He helped usher in the Financial Services and Markets Bill, which, if passed into law, could give local regulators broad power over the crypto industry – starting with bringing asset-pegged crypto like stablecoins into the scope of payments regulations. Under his leadership, the country's coin producer, the Royal Mint, was tasked with creating a non-fungible token (NFT) collection, which has yet to come to fruition.

Truss’ government had expressed a commitment to Sunak’s crypto plans but her resignation threatened to shake things up once again. The local crypto industry, which had been in communication with Sunak over crypto policy during his tenure as finance minister, stands to welcome his appointment as the leader of the government.

Following the announcement of Sunak's appointment, Adam Jackson, director of policy at Innovate Finance, a U.K. tech industry body that also advocates for crypto, called the former finance minister a "champion of fintech."

"It's a positive for crypto and the general economy," Ian Taylor, director of the industry lobby group CryptoUK, told CoinDesk via WhatsApp.

Understand what you are saying re strategy, technical changes and cost etc, fair enough it’s a valid point. Lets hope that GGP have more than enough technical expertise to call upon which I am sure they do to influence /aid NCM should the need arise.

As for what do GGP bring to the party when the mine is up and running? We just sit back and take our share of the profits , I jest I have no idea all. I imagine it all depends I suppose on what the JV agreement says, that as yet ....no one on here has seen, have they?

Re: Now that NCM are managers of Havieron, GGP have lost significant control over future operations in all but name. SD sees thunderstorms ahead - navigable yes but still uncertainty for GGP and of course their shareholders. SD wishes he was in a more commanding position but he joined the company too late to alter that.

Just because we own 30% or even if it were less etc, all depends on what is in the actual JV contract, surely we have as much a right to 100% of all the information being generated and a say over future operations etc ??

Don't you think that NCM would have already thought that out before jumping into bed with GGP??

And even if you were correct, SD would find a solution, ie, buy Telfer. What value would Telfer hold for NCM in such a scenario, plus don't forget a prohibitive de-commissioning costs etc.

Looks to me like our resident as 'Unknown as yet Shorters', outside those of JPM's 20.35m shorted shares that is, are now suddenly reaching for the Exit doors......... and that's exactly what I would now expect to be happening right now.

I emailed ii (Interaactive Investor) tonight to try and ensure GST sharholders are given the opportunity to vote as last year UK shareholders were by and large excluded from voting by memory. Now why was that?

The company is UK listed so shareholders should have the opportunity to vote.

I note the AGM RNS stated Singapore as the location for the AGM etc.

Once the BFS and DCM is released, the shorters many of them as of unknown quantitites as yet, other than JPM will then be forced into a major re-think of their own strategy , don't you think?
