I understand your scepticism, and nothing is for certain.

I am just going on the premise that the preferred bidder would have taken a lot of time and money before submitting their offer, and the stumbling blocks would have been considered and overcome long before now.

I truly hope that we all make a lot of spondies here!

Look at the facts guzzler - the Data Room was opened in July 2018, the bidding process was opened after 3D inversion in October 2018 and closed by 31st January 2019. 88E chose a preferred bidder in March 2019, and FINAL DD, paperwork etc is being concluded.

This is where you and I differ immensely - he did NOT say that the deal might fail. What he actually said was "a deal is not done until it is done"

DW has said "Weeks rather than months" - the negotiations from bid to acceptance, and from acceptance to the present date is approaching seven to eight months. The parties know what they want, and we WOULD HAVE been informed of delays or withdrawal.

All good in my book, although the waiting is killing most investors.

The preferred bidder made an offer which DW accepted, so both parties must be getting what they wanted.

You can ask those question, however you will never know the answers. If you believe that the FO will fall by the wayside, and the SP will decline, then you should sell ASAP to limit the damage.

For what its worth, I believe Icewine Conventional and the HRZ will be Farmed Out to realise FOUR BILLION barrels of hydrocarbons. When I was at one of the Presentations, I asked Steve Staley if 88E had the same potential as Cove Energy and their SP fell to 0.29p at it's nadir.

We all have to make our own decisions, and not blame anyone else for monetary losses.

How can you say nothing when the information is "price sensitive" and has to be reported.

The preferred bidder would have made their offer in January, so we are some FOUR months into thrashing out a deal. DW has only limited influence as to how this pans out, and we are talking about a potentially MASSIVE deal for both parties.

If you are sceptical, then press the SELL button and go down a safer route.
