Yeah...I liked it as well. I've had this company on my watch list for quite some time. I don't look on this as a "get rich quick" type of share, more as a medium term investment. It looks to me as if they haven't bitten off more than they can chew ( as it were), compared to other small cap companies in this sector, and I look at gas as an important resource for the nation. Also, I am quite happy that the share price is not volatile.So taking all this into consideration I bought a small initial tranche of 5000 shares just a little while ago and I'm quite happy to be on board....

This has takin a pasting of late! Was around the 38p mark a while back and people expecting it to breach 40. Thank God I flogged all mine off while still on a very modest profit. Tough on punters who bought on the recent bull run.

That's a price per barrel that falls well short of my expectations in the current environment of approx 85p per barrel oil price. Mind you, the logp reserves will be 2p after the drill, so that adds incremental value. Hope they find some more oil in Barryroe!

As you say Manyana...everybodies circumstances and allowances may vary a bit. My illustration was based on my own set up where I have the modest state pension and do a couple of days a week on a pretty OK per diem...It doesn't do any harm to have a chat with your accountant if he is half decent...

Another possibility is to sell...bung the proceeds into a SIPP. You are allowed 20k. Then the government puts in 20% on top and you can buy back more shares at a discount effectively. It takes about 7 weeks for the HMRC to trouser up their contribution. My figures may be slightly adrift but you get the principle. Its good for auld buggers like me who are prioritising on building up their pension pot. Good day in the end. Looks quite possiblevthat we may open up tomorrow.

In very simple terms....the drilling equipment was defective and it broke down, giving rise to overruns on cost and schedule, hence the law suit.

Personally speaking I couldnt give a shite about Angus's "promotion"...probably got a hefty pay rise and I don't see how this increases his input into the infrequent board meetings he attends as part of his "duties"...total non event for shareholders imo.

Some bargain prices were had today. Surprised it didn't edge up a few points.

Not really too worried...looks like the short term profit taking has abated without knocking the sp to death. Buyers seem hsppy to come back now so ecpect it will buck up gradually.
