Anyone would have thought that this saving in the cost of their borrowing would help, it's such a joke market this. Quite pathetic.

Government cost of borrowing ( gilts ) well off today, should mean stocks rise. But no, this is the UK, greatest financial hub of Europe.

No wonder investors simply do not trust the way the city operates.

Anyone know approx what adjusted net profit will be on say 95 adjusted ebitda this year?

Then assuming say 25% return to shareholders?

Yeah and just as it rises the AT sells kick in, much smaller. They're doing my head in!!

Problem I have with this is that this is the 5th day we can't buy a rise in widespread rising markets.

So I'm questioning how this market will react to what won't be a great first half on Friday.

This is about the 4th day when the UK focused ftse 250 is up and we can't buy a rise.

I hope AH is fully aware how poorly the UK market treats companies, it's almost like they have to play a game against the Algos.

With the recent disposal ( enough to clear the debt) thus should be comfortably holding 20s by now.

The way this has been the last 2 weeks or so, got bad feeling about the market reaction a lot more than the update itself

When I was away in Thailand in May, at 2.00 every day it was RNS 7 AM time.

I'm not selling either, average is only 66, but not adding just yet.

BOE could fuel another sell off by just continuing to hold rates, making reference to all these pay rises that will fuel wage/services inflation, then when cpi inflation ticks up a bit which is expected, markets will price in higher for longer etc etc.

It's just one big constant period of downbeat global news since covid. Getting so tedious on UK markets.

We may get the 51.2 from last March this week.

Not chasing this down like MCG, going to keep waiting. I think they're trying to sucker in buyers at 58 but wouldn't be surprised if the UT is a sell 56s.

However we do kind of know the negative factors for this year, ie outflows 70-90, loss of revenue and ebitda from disposals.

I think he laid the groundwork for not a great HY update in his statement about the capital 1 disposal. He referred to short term impacts .

Dividend, no chance until sustainable fcf generation imo.

Think you're right the market will react regarding the debt, use of the disposal funds, impact on FY etc etc.

It's just that it's feeling very much like swimming against the tide here, even when the market should be a tailwind, so I'm just hoping no real hammering on Friday.

Steady as she goes until 25 guidance can be given positively

Given the weakness here recently on good market days, I'm now expecting a negative reaction on Friday unless a significant rabbit is pulled out.

Markets ignoring chunky buys today and taking us down on small sells.

I've always maintained HY 25 for tangible improvement

Well let's hope the market doesn't want to start this week all bearish given the never ending geo political stuff, middle east tensions over the weekend etc .

Markets fell all week last week except Friday.

I honestly think the days of crapita are over.

The reasons the market hammered us last August and at FY are, that cash outflows were larger than expected ( and we know why all the exceptionals) and this resulted in an increase in net debt at year end. This and JL factor resulted in hammering because I feel the market was sending a clear message to the board.

But the underlying OP for last year before all those exceptional and adjustments was 106 mill.

So there is a profitable business underneath.

Which is why I feel rather than the same again they will use the surplus monies to reduce debt, certainly the 80 mill due next t year, which prevent a similar result because of this year's outflows, therefore avoiding the wrath of the pathetic UK market.

We might all be surprised.

Expect the worst though, especially with this old lady.

If the June TU is anything to go by, the markets initial reaction was to tank but then stabilised and clawed back that day.

I'm hoping that he's a very skilled communicator in terms of how the results are presented, and that his constant use of " as we previously guided" will suffice somewhat to mitigate any severe market reaction.

Not so sure if anything additional to the actual presentation which will give ample opportunity to clearly state what you're suggesting, would help or is needed.
