This is acting like results are leaked.

I guess the only crumb of comfort is the CEO put significant skin in the game at considerably higher than 52.

They said they 35-40 mill down H1 which would flow through to H2, however they didn't actually give a specific ebitda range.

They also said they expected profitability to increase significantly in H2.

If they state revised downward earnings guide range, I can see the market whacking us again, despite it being already referred to recently in the profit warning.

All I know is that originally anything from 1 -1.5 billion was touted by analysts which sounds high.

But they will take the view that they might be better turning it round, then refinancing on better terms next year, if they don't achieve a decent price.

Might be tight though because they will need to have the hybrid paid or refinanced well in advance of Nov 25, so by say April/May next year the rate of interest rate cuts will need to be much clearer.

I'm expecting any potential NA sale to be kicked into next year when there will be a better interest rate environment, if a reasonable price is not achieved.

Meanwhile you can't get IR to reply to confirm HY date, you can't leave a message for IR as voice box is full, you can't even calk their switchboard without being charged a premium rate.

Please can someone put me out my misery abd explain how this managed to retreat sub 18 on the buying volume this morning?

A CFO of all BODs are not going to invest 200-300k of their own money if they have any concerns, or simply as a red herring.

Two of the 3 main BOD, chairman excluded have put significant skin in the game.

Are you suggesting because it is not signifant amounts to them and it's just smoke and mirrors purchases?

Besides you sound like an extremely cautious low risk investor, that not even a turnaround with many guaranteed government contracts, essentially net debt free , with a clear pathway yo cash flow generation from 25 can tempt you.

By the time you've seen tangible results in the accounts, ie HY 25, the share price will not be 17p odd, and will have completed its turnaround, just my opinion.

CFO presumably now familiar somewhat with the accounts since the initial announcement, purchasing 1.2 million shares before start date tomorrow, is all anyone needs to know.

It's not exactly small amounts in what he's bought so far.

If it was me, I would only be funding the tax on free shares rather than sell part to fund it if I was convinced that keeping the shares would be more beneficial in a fairly short term time scale.

Also did he choose to have them vested at this particular time, abd wouldn't that be seen as a form of insider trading if something was going down?

Being aggressively shorted today, about 30 AT sell trades for 49 just fired through.

Given the flakiness of the reason not to offer, could it be a favour to WG as possibly there was something in their DD that they didn't like?

We know from FY results 23 that there are exceptional cash items which are resulting in large cash outflows, 145 m in 23, reducing over the next 3 years, but still over 100 mil this year which will mean negative FCF this year.

I'm still not quite sure how they get to significant cashflow generation from 25, despite reduced exceptionals, capex etc

They usually confirm with a notice of results rns, at least 2 weeks before. That date has been on the website for a few months now. Anything can happen with that imo.

And we're into the 8th month of trading this year, how are we doing. Will there be stated ongoing shortages in driver recruitment in the US?

Have the contracts that were increased last July at last started to flow through ( was supposed to be H2 23), or will that not flow through until H2 24, ie the last 4 months really ?

I just always get that feeling here, if there's good news to be released at any point, they would be shouting from the treetops. I remember a few people on here saying that such long periods of radio silence are not good enough given the ongoing struggles of the last year.

Assuming they will rns a notice of date of hy results, the nearer we get to 21st without confirmation, the more I'm expecting further problems.

One would assume if there was anything half decent to report at any point, they would update accordingly.

As you know costs are significantly reducing by 160 m by this time next year, and if you read the FY 23 slides you will see all the one offs / non recurring that resulted in a cash outflow.

We already know more or less the impact of the cost savings program on March's FY update, ie business exits costs, subsequently triggered pension deficit payments ( last year of any pension deficit payment 24), so any real material tangible progress in results will not be visible until HY 25.

So I ask you, what is cpi worth without the capital 1 payment coming in which is net 180 m ?

The 14-16 p is simply a reflection of sentiment on the floor after 5 years of disappointment under the previous board.
