"Market may well have been expecting what was coming and prepared themselves well to execute"
Possibly pokerchips, however i don't recall any significant rise when they guided 144 in August.
I think we are in one of those periods where any guidance downgrade, however small in the grand scheme of things, or even a meeting guidance but towards the lower end, ie JD, companies are being severely reprimanded by the market, probably over the top considering.
There's a whole list of them really, BME, Kingfisher, JD, now Pets, all of which you can argue are well run big guns, possibly it's the retail sector element couple with increased labour costs next year.
I'm adding in small tranches with these, rather than doubling or anything too weighty.
Pets a decent company, one could even argue almost a staple dominant player in its niche sector.
