As I've said previously, big lovely dividends are great but the capital depreciation that goes with it, especially here makes it hard to get enthused about. It's now looking like that top up post special dividend in the 800s might well be 700s at this rate.

Think I'm going to see how it plays out again, market clearly disinterested in this.

Given the outlook there could be a short term opportunity to buy in the 800s, at the expense of the special, and then just hold. Not sure really

Received standard email from IR this morning, just copied a small extract.

Carlyle Transaction expected to close this quarter, generating around $800 million to be redeployed for our core objectives.

The primary pending approval is in Italy to approve the transfer of licences from Energean to Carlyle – just a matter of bureaucracy at this stage (no red flags identified) hence the small slippage in timing.

No change to previous guidance on use of proceeds.
