When you look back at the sp performance over time, it's understandable that a declining share price follows poor trading updates.

But when a company seems to turn a corner, and has produced evidence of 2 much improved quarters which MCG has done, usually 2 consecutive quarters is enough for the market to restore some confidence in a share.

But not here, we're lower than Aug 23rd two days after the HY update, which says to me lack of confidence, lingering uncertainty etc, which shouldn't be the case.

They really don't help us here, and it's bare minimum news info, rns, just anything to promote the company, which is my biggest annoyance in life!!

I don't want to be spoon fed, just update more regularly.

Hard not to be bearish considering we're lower than post the HY update and subsequent Nov TU which were both decent on the face of it.

And then there's the past 4 year performance to consider also.

I'm not too bothered anymore, I sold half my holding in the 80s simply because of a lack of trust and knowing once the new year came and there was no update, the likelihood it would retreat again.

Waiting to top up again when there is a believable update.

Obviously they're guaranteed future buyers, but at what price once they've had their fill?

The only people that benefit are the hedge funds.

People say they are vital for liquidity purposes etc, but 30 years the stock market worked as it should on supply and demand, not short selling funds bot selling to lower the price.

We're at the low of the year almost, it's the most excruciatingly frustrating share to hold. Seemed to be moving along nicely until it hit 15 2 weeks ago, then reversed trend again.

Another year written off here too aswell as Mobico.

For them not to have even scheduled a date for the FY results means they are either waiting on something or procrastinating, could be good but more likely not imo.

Either way it should benefit BME, the goods are bargain basement and quite niche/individual in the variety.

The point is profits are increasing and the share price has halved in just over a year.

It's the market here that's clearly the problem.

Can you imagine a US market generating this profit being treated like this on the s & p?

It's become the easiest market in the world to short stocks, so zero chance of decent returns.

This is the fundemental issue that needs addressing. Restrict shorting and then fundamentals and value will out on demand.

Share price now lower than 19/20 and we're making double the profit.
