I'm just trying to argue that a company with a smaller no of shares and higher share price value will move as quickly as one with many more shares and lower sp value, makes no difference which is 1 argument old trader is making.

With an adjusted EBITDA of £188m and a sustained reduced cost base in 2025, there is zero justification for the stock price to be trading at these distressed levels of less than 1.5 times EBITDA.

As gocpi rightly pointed out the above yesterday, bod are obviously in agreement and thinking outside the box.

Just look at barberry sp, no of shares in issue, and 6 month chart to see how fast a high value sp can move

Melrose did a share consolidation 2 years ago, guess what sp has more than doubled.

Are you seriously suggesting that if the cpi specific was say 2.50 on 2nd July 24 it would not have risen 62% to 4.00 by the 16th because it was 2.50 and not 0.13 ?

If anything this current situation creates a false sense of reality imo.

The reality is I need 18p in my share account to break even and that's almost a 30% rise to break even.

Not sure where old trader gets that a penny share moves faster and harder than a 2 pound share.

This share is played like an Aim stock which do move hard and fast either way.

I can't see the problem, if anything it will deter heavy shorting / manipulation.

Don't you see that a rise from say 15p to 60p break even in today's money would be the same as 2.25 to say 900 break even after consolidation?

It's the same % rise anyone would need to recover losses.

With respect WG have tanked because they are undergoing an audit for nearly 1 billion of write offs and they have reversed guidance from significant FCF to negative of 150-200 million, so their fall completely justified.

Greggs updated yesterday and growth slowed so market whacked them 10%.

Not sure about the other 2 but blatant reasons for those two.

MCG just falls, for no obvious reason.
