The only signs for optimism in the sp is that over the last 2 years 19 and 20 it was very weak in October/November then picked up rapidly in December.

Was quite reassured with IRs response about them possibly shorting as a hedge. I'd sort of forgotten that companies do go long and short on the same stock.
Could never get my head around seeing for example Blackrock increasing their holding one day and then also upping their short the following.

Been trying to get to a more cash situation but my 5 biggest positions are all well red.
A couple are massively down and have def written them off until mid to end of next year (cine and Mcro)
But the others like this are no more than 10% or so, and any good couple of days I could top slice fair chunks into cash.
Really not worried about this one, it got another broker rating of 495 the other day, this will come good IMO.

In the July update Murdoch was trying to present that he was keeping some news close to his chest that he couldn't share at that time.
Then he tried to present that there would be something else on top of the trading update a few weeks ago, by delaying the presentation until today.
But truth is he is just kicking the can down the road, the market has wised up to him, and despite him reiterating the same waffle again, it would appear that anyone who has invested this year pretty much, has to be content with continued capital erosion, and just hope now that they will eventually get their investment back.
