I think Rentokill was savaged because of the uncertain outlook in the US.

And rightmove fell 15% because a US competitor bought out some other company.

I escaped there, nearly bought a couple of thousand this morning when it was 12% down.

Was looking at centrica, that ski sloped down to the 30s over a couple years until they showed signs of improvement and are now recovering well.

I guess it's just a mind f--k because when this happens and you're losing thousands each day you start questioning " will they survive, or will a cash raise make things even worse if they don't sell NA"

I just can't see how a cash raise would be possible here unless they double or trebled the shares in issue to raise a meaningful amount at this level.

Unfortunately until they produce a few quarters of meeting guidelines and improvement, the market probably will treat this like THG or an Aim stock.

Revenue similar to this, been on a 5 year turnaround. Shares in issue 1 billion.

Been selling off various divisions to pay down debt to try and streamline the business.

So what's to stop them taking this much lower?

Personally I will only count blessings if they sell NA for a decent amount and they at the very least meet this new guidance of 175-185.

Unfortunately there's still about the same time until year end as was between HY and last week, so even the above guidance can change and is not set in stone.

The original profit Warning came inJune last year when they warned about margins accross the group as a whole.

But yes the excess in US training costs probably one off, if that's all James Stamp has been off the mark with.

That is where the board has failed so miserably imo. It did not involve selling NA, in fact the whole strategy is now a fantasy.

And the new CFO has only been in post 1 year and has already managed to complete miserably judge the guidance in a short space of time, and miscalculated costs in the US regarding driver training costs etc.

This needs some radical play by the main shareholders here, they must be furious really.

Presumably now that the bond is in place and there are no short term funding requirements, an equity raise would only be required if earnings continued to fall and costs weren't controlled, right ?

Can anyone say if the FSG sale of their US division was basically fleet and contracts?
