I think it's only fair that he is publicly scathed after his disastrous tenure here, not because its nice and right to embarras someone so publicly, but because of the huge backslapping he gave his efforts and transformation when he announced his retirement.

I think it's fair to say if you're increasing your short now from being short the last few months, the term "catching a rising knife" springs to mind.

What you're missing is the outlook statement from q1 24 onwards including the 60mill cost savings starting then.

The market already knows there are costs similar to H1 in H2, as do all of us.

As for KPIs if you read the HY report, those were exceptionally good and all were met. This was confirmed to me and Nofear by Stephanie.

Also debt will be reduced as payments will be received post HY, the one off pension payments end this year I think.

Well that would be a 7.5% fall today from UT yesterday.

I made that mistake with both RR and M & S and was so grateful to finally break even I sold out.

Would have doubled my money from my sell point.

I've sold 100k of these but am keeping the other 480k no matter how tempted I get.

Well that would suggest that there is no downgrade / profit Warning being dropped ad hoc as they would be required to do.

Me too, got 60k at 58p, if it hits 30 will buy another 40k, otherwise just watching losses increase daily

When the US regional bank crisis hit, there were rumours of a halt to short selling because there was a risk that shorters could actually finish one of them due to significant liquidity issues at the constant selling.

So if it is them and nothing underlying, you're not far off the mark.

Plus thinking about it, this is very much forward looking to ensure they meet their medium term 6% margin target which isn't probably even next year.

But why not just release this as part of a forward looking long term guidance statement on 14th?
