Regarding the buy back question, having read the RNS today and learning that UK share holders will receive their divi funds in Sterling converted from Canadian it occurred to me that any buy backs on the LSE would suffer from a cost due to the conversion.
I may be way off there but if it is the case would it not make sense to buy back on the Canadian market which would absolutely make it fly and drag the UK SP up with it ?

You have to take into consideration that we have had a 100 + % rise in the last 4 months, there are bound to be folk who have made a substantial lump and if the MM's make it look like it's stalled and will fall back they will sell.

So what you are saying is if you don't like a country doing something you perceive as a threat you invade them to show your displeasure ?
It was Ukraine who wanted to join I think, NATO didn't canvass them looking for new members did it ?
Also, how is it OK for Putin to dictate what a country ajoining his can and can't do ?
