Hi Sandgrounded, As the SP falls on any good news, that might be a good idea, as I'm expecting a great MRE. We don't have many days left in December with trading days afterwards, so with that logic it could be imminent. Any day's good for me.

Blantyreboy, I reckon the MRE will be released on 22nd Dec, the Friday before Xmas, which is 2 wks 2 days.

Sorry Mr EMC2, I can't find it. My addled brain says they were going to sell some other tenements to buy & develop another prospect. He probably meant buying more south-west tenements. Didn't he say something like, 'if not another Havieron, then a half Havieron would be brilliant'?

I'm sorry to hear you have long Covid. I've had Covid for a week. Took my mum to the GPs for a knee injection and we got it in their packed waiting room. 'Teflon' mum is doing better than me. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. Still, better by Xmas, hey, Toffers?

I was considering going today but then I thought I'd see it online. Have fun, all those going.

Hi Droverman, Yep, I remember vividly how stupid Libyan oil workers were. In their defence, nobody gave them any training. Two of them drove their Landie on an onshore rig site to have a secret cigarette - smoking not allowed on site. They parked in front of a gas outlet pipe (it was wider than the Landie was long), where they thought the boss wouldn't see them. They lit up, and were still sitting there when the gas pipe vented. They went high in the air in their Landie. They were Medivac airlifted to Italy with 90% burns - DOA.

Thanks for this. "https://academic.oup.com/gji/article/221/2/1090/5721370". 'Clarks & Emerson' struck something in my distant memory. I kind of remember them, and Q ranges. It might be from around the early 90s when I worked in the Exploration Division of AGIP in Libya and they were referencing Clarks & Emerson stuff. But it was so long ago. Oh well, half a memory's better than none. Libya has fascinating geology around the Sirt Basin and the Trough.

The developments with Rio and exploration of the Paterson South are exciting events.

The SP has been down for so long now it will be lovely to have an increase and when it does finally happen, it will be soooo exciting!

I've been busy at work and I'm trying to catch up with GGP, now I've got a minute. Could someone let me know the current date for starting production? I thought it was Spring 2023 but then it was delayed to Autumn 2023? Any advance, LOL?

Hi Redirons, I'm actually on holiday but couldn't resist topping up this morning. :)

Going for a walk now, and then shopping. I'm in the middle of a village but so far all we've done is SHOP. I'm such a townie, LOL. Might visit the chippie and the pub later. :)

Not likely. Do you understand about companies with 'shareholders'? Hostile takeovers are a complex and difficult process. Do you see the institutions that are investing heavily in GGP accepting a hostile takeover, or any kind of takeover? Seriously?

Hey Viking, if you are around, and any other Southenders, masks are back at SUH. Here's their update. "From 8 July anyone coming to our hospitals for an appointment or to visit a patient will need to wear a mask or face covering. Our staff will also be required to wear face masks in wards & departments, as well as non-clinical areas such as offices & corridors. We will continue to provide surgical masks in public spaces, wards & departments for patients, visitors & staff who wish to use them."

So, I guess there'll be a nice rise in the SP tomorrow after the 7am GGP update? I'm so out of the loop!
