Hi, I asked ii if they have received the EGR certs yet. They said they have received the wrong amount so they are checking as to where the rest of them are and then they will show them in portfolios!

Anyway, I've now sold my Zinnwald (down 7%) and bought Bacanora (up 13%). If there are any posts here about EGR I may chip in, if that's all right. Good luck everybody :)))

Iseo, Also, in addition to what has been said, it depends which shares you hold in your ISA and which shares you hold in your Trading Account, and which are making you money currently and which shares you feel you would like to sell first/ditch because they are not performing. You know the amount you need to withdraw. Try to make that withdrawal by losing the least amount of value from your portfolio. If you have a share that will make you a tiny loss by selling it, conforming to all CGT rules, then possibly no CGT would be due on it.

But you are discussing this subject with lots of well-intentioned strangers who don't know your personal circumstances and are not able to give you Advice. Please bite the bullet and find a WA or personal finances advisor or tax consultant.

Hello Red, I also had a post removed. Floater, Brilliant post:) IMO, regarding valid news, there are multiple pieces of news to join together, all valid - all good. When GGP are ready, they will make that news public. They and NCM will want to get that first big announcement right, and they can take all the time they want, as far as I am concerned. I'm looking forward to the AGM.

IMO I believe these give GGP directors the ability and flexibility to issue and allocate shares during the year, provided that the limits mentioned in the resolutions are adhered to. They facilitate GGP pursuing its stated corporate objectives and strategy, (available on the GGP website) and facilitate the raising of funds if needed, from existing shareholders, and if there is insufficient take-up, from a wider field.

4 and 5 are GGP’s annual contingency plan and, as in previous years, they may or may not be used but their use for various reasons would always be in line with pursuing GGP’s objectives and strategy.

I have voted yes and I am looking forward to the AGM.

Hi TMT, I did not know that I cannot relate private messages, so thank you. Oh well. Changing the subject;

Jet bought a donkey from a farmer for £100. Next day the donkey unexpectedly died. The farmer told Jet, "Sorry to hear about the donkey." Jet replied, "No problem, I'll have me money back." The farmer said, "I've spent it." Jet said, "Ok then, I'll raffle him off." The farmer said, "You can’t raffle a dead donkey!" Jet said, "Watch me. I just won’t tell anybody he's dead." A month later, the farmer met Jet and asked, "What happened to the dead donkey?" Jet said, "I raffled him. I sold 500 tickets at £2 each and made a profit of £998. The farmer said, "Didn't anyone complain?" Jet said, "Just the bloke that won, so I gave him his £2 back."

Moral of the story? Jet made money by having a Contingency Plan for when something unexpected occurred and a Strategy which used Jet’s Ability and Flexibility to adapt Jet’s raffle tickets to Explore and Achieve Jet’s Stated Objectives, and Increase the Value of Jet’s Profit (for Everybody betting their money).

(Don't read anything into the 'dead' bit, for goodness' sake.)

On that other subject, I’m voting ‘yes’ by the way.

Paddy, That's a 'Big Yes' from me, although I did give a clue in saying it was a 'lovely' response. GGP's reply settled the concern I had when I asked them my question. And when I've calmed down I may share, but not at the moment.

Now, do I say which way I will be voting? Because I don't wish to be accused of having an agenda and/or influencing others on here.

Rediron, I think you’re OTT in suggesting that I have any ulterior motive because I dare to question. I am here for the duration and to make money, and not to lose money by being complacent. We are being asked to vote on Res No 5 when there is a significant lack of knowledge behind the request. Res 5 can be put forward at any time of year by an EGM. Why now? Yes, I agree, it's been done in the past and hasn't been used. But that doesn't take away my right to question why. Surely it is acceptable for shareholders to question the reasoning/actions of their Board?

I am not overlooking Paddy’s point about GH and CB being substantial shareholders (I never overlook his posts) but I think you’re overlooking mine. Directors get massive golden handshakes, far in excess of their shareholdings (I'm not suggesting that in this case). They work for themselves. On the face of it, GH and CB are the good guys but they have their own priorities. Look at the furore on here when they dared take a little profit until posters here pointed out that maybe they’re paying off their own mortgage or bills in their life. But their actions were still questioned and it’s right to do so because their actions have meaning. They're not cardboard cut-outs or shareholder puppets.

I do trust my own research and I haven’t seen anything negative about GH or CB’s actions to date but neither do I forget that this is my money invested in GGP and that is why I don't follow blindly.
