Speedy did you see the AISC at Cadia.......USE 156. Not sure whether more knowledgeable posters can comment on the likelihood of replicating or near to at Hav at this juncture?

Interesting that the Artemis presentation referenced AISC of USD 156 / oz at Newcrests Cadia mine using modern block caving...page 18.

I would not read anything in to it. This was a dry legal subject and one that might not be grasped straightaway by everyone listening. However getting past the explanation of the paperwork the underlying positivity of this being another important step forward came through strongly for me personally. If you want a more animated interview I suspect there will be one arriving very shortly on the back of the interim update.

As an observation everyone is technically correct but it is not the norm to use a business accounting concept such as gross profit margin when looking at investment returns. That is why most trading platforms will say you have made 100% return if you double your original investment. No one that I am aware of uses GPM in an investment scenario......but I use it all the time in balance sheet analysis.

Daveri. I think your calculation refers to the gross profit margin. A useful business formula but not so sure of its use in calculating profits on a share purchase because the overhead costs don't come into it. Gross profit margin and a % increase in a profit from a share transaction are normally calculated in different ways for different purposes in my book.

First refusal. You need to consider the wording. For there to be a refusal there first of all has to be a proposal by GGP. If NC did not like the proposal or there were not able to agree on a modified deal, then GGP would be able to offer the same deal to other parties.
Personally I think we have a marriage made in Heaven with NC and given the proximity of SW to Telfer it is hard to imagine any other company bettering the business case of processing there. Presumably there will a tipping point of distance but the way mining technology has improved over recent decades I suspect that distance is getting greater.

As 4.30 approaches I feel drawn to this board and now watching the sp with interest. Goes against my normal mantra of ignoring short term time frames but I feel like I did when I was in Key West a number of years ago and the clocks of tourists heading to the beach to watch the sunset.
Of course we have many sunsets to look forward to here....

Wealth is always a contextual concept in my view brought into sharp focus with Covid and suspect many here are reconsidering how the bounties that this stock is now revealing, can make a positive effect on our lifes. I was fascinated by a posters reference to sudden wealth syndrome the other day....never too old to learn!

OK - just spotted both Mickey and Urban are premium members so presumably linked into the end of day price differently to us in cattle class.

Just an observation - strange how some posts such as Mickey's quotes the price at 10.00 and others at 9.325 - an earlier post by UrbanRacer quoted 10.00. A quirk in the LSE system?
Obviously it would be nice to start at 10p or higher tomorrow but I am not going get worried if they open lower - we all know it will not last for long given updates news is due shortly.
