Perhaps it's dawning on NvS that it may be best to hang on to at least one of the gold assets in case we don't find enough copper in Zam?

Unsubstantiated optimism. How can anyone predict the future? We are currently valued at around the sum of our gold assets, which remain unsold so something is already being priced in for the copper. It's a punt at the moment as to whether we find enough and it's been a bit disappointing so far. As things stand we are fairly valued at the moment, IMO.

Graham 1981, of course 1% is a good grade it's just that we hardly have enough of it. Give us 30 mtrs average thickness of it over a sq km or more then you're talking.

Bloodshot, I'm not into online spats and anyway you'd be the last one I'd want to argue with, I'd rather come over there and have a beer with you (and maybe come away with a decent Filipina bride!) Its the 10%ers that annoy me trying to lure others in by spouting twaddle. Probably the kind of person who'd pickpocket an old granny at the bus stop.

Bloodshot, I expected more of you myself, I am disappointed in your tone. As for wild stab in the dark, I did say they were rough calcs based on what we've found so far at C. east (0.97% average grade over 650 x 300mtrs area) to give a ballpark figure in the tens of thousands of tonnes of copper versus 4m at Sentinel. I know I dont know a lot about mining but I seem to have a lot better grasp of the figures than a few on here, as does the market, apparently. Please try and be realistic and dont fall for the traders guff. I've lost a lot of money listening to them (and other assorted ignorant investors) blowing smoke up my @R$£.

I'm not denying the drilling is at an early stage I'm just pointing out your misleading statement. No way were the grades good, if they were the s/p wouldn't be off by 30% now would they?

Good grades? Really? For comparison, this is what commercial quantities of cu eq look like -

All depends on whether they find copper in commercial quantities. Kalaba was a bit overhyped, Cheyeza East looked good then not so good. It may bounce back - they may find more copper at useful intervals in another direction there, otherwise it's off to try elsewhere. Hopefully something will deliver as promised, and we have enough targets to go at so still all to play for IMO. It would be nice if fate doesn't leave the best till last though! :-)

I would still wait for HH CPR figures for recoverable reserves, due in a few months, before selling. Sentiment regarding the Weald wide Kimmeridge layers appears to have turned down after the Angus failure at Brockham but perhaps localised recoverable reserves figures at HH will still be promising? I'm still hoping for millions of barrels being attributable to Alba once testing at HH is done.

Points I noted - I thought they would be scoping out Amitsoq this season? Looks like they might have doubts about Weald oil delivering long term? I didn't expect Limerick to come to much given the very modest previous grades found there, but I can forseee a huge spike if Clogau throws up any big drill results. There will be gold fever in them thar Welsh hills!

Andrew Webley, ex Hargreaves Lansdowne exec, bought £1m worth of GWMO shares (c.10% of the company) only to see them drop 70% on the failure of a single drill. So it doesn't necessarily follow that big investors know any more than the rest of us.
And yes, as expected the market has spoken here and didn't like today's results despite the best efforts of the rampers. I truly wish it were otherwise and the nice thick 30mtrs+ intervals of 1%+ copper had continued to be encountered.

I ruddy hope so. I will be well peeved if all the bullishness turns out to be just another hyped up crock of AIM ****e.

Agree with you completely TSP, both on the results so far as well as the speed at which those disagreeing on here stoop to personal jibes. In my view they have already lost the argument if they have to resort to insult.

salida, Sentinel appear to have around 811mts of 0.5% copper giving 4mts of contained metal. My very rough calcs give us around 5mts of avg 0.97% copper giving c. 50,000 tonnes of copper (though I applied all the drill results so far as being within NvS's 300 x 600mtr pay zone) So Sentinel has 80x more copper (and is 250 mtrs deep as I recall)
