You can see the s/p drop from c. 0.026p about a fortnight ago so presumably that was when the placing was agreed. So at the time the recipient was offered them at a 50% discount to the prevailing s/p. This company is being very dodgily run IMO, and it seems we are intentionally being steered off a cliff.

Just thinking aloud - if they extracted 120 tonnes from August to December, that's about a tonne a day. So add on another 60 tonnes or so to the end of January, allowing time after that to process. That should give c. 180 tonnes. If that ore contained the historic average of 17gms/tonne there could be around 100ozs produced by auction time. Just my wild guesswork (in the absence of any firm production figures from the company) trying to get a handle on how much we may have produced by now.

IMO it's wrong to correlate the price of a single old sovereign of historical numismatic value with contemporary, albeit limited edition coins from a previously producing mine. Still, the royal connection should give us a healthy premium over spot price. I think £10k or more per coin could be achievable. This auction will hopefully be a short term publicity generating event but the more pertinent question is can we extract enough gold steadily over coming years to maintain a long term commercially viable business? There have been hints from GF that we can but no firm numbers on amounts of gold recovered so far, hence the continual drift down in the s/p. Hopefully he's keeping schtum about gold recovery rates in order to maximise the coming auction price.

Ruddy Nora! Imagine if they hit something like that. But it makes me wonder all the more why they ever considered chasing a few grammes a tonne in Africa? I hope they've dropped that idea..

PC911 - Since many AIM companies eventually crash and burn at the hands of far more self serving BoDs than Arcm has, one wonders why you choose to waste 5 years of your time only posting negatively on here? Or maybe the penny has finally dropped that AA are in fact in control and that nothing whatsoever you say on here has the slightest effect on the s/p? There are far more egregiously run lifestyle companies on AIM that may need you to play out your investor protecting Caped Crusader role. Off you go Batman...

I wouldn't have thought so. Both companies should have (hopefully positive) news in coming weeks. Groc's possible inclusion onto the European strategic projects list and Alba are auctioning the first gold coins from Clogau. Best to hold both right now, IMO.

Was Covid a dream and the spurious claims on our licences didn't happen, all resulting in several years of delay? Now we are finally getting going and this year AA should be able to complete a whole season's drilling, barring any more unexpected hold ups. What venture is able to proceed without any glitches? Does your own life run smoothly without any hiccups? Actually it probably does as only an AI bot could tirelessly spew out endless negative guff for 5 years without realising how inane they sound.

You said it - something has got to happen eventually here. It will take as long as it takes whatever the outcome. $70m worth of drilling isn't going to be completed in a few weeks so just sit back and await the outcome. You're like the kid in the back of the car whinging "Are we there yet?" every ten minutes.

From the 6/11/2024 placing RNS. Some of the raised funds were to be utilised to -

"Upgrade works in respect of our processing plant to be able to process the gold content from the circa 300 tonnes of ore expected to be extracted from the current blasting programme"

Do we need further funds to upgrade again?

Also, at an historical average grade of 17gms/tonne, 25 tonnes would give us over 400gms of gold, about 13 ozs.

Peggy, I am still mystified as to why you have spent the last 5 years dissing Arcm and its BoD? You don't even bother to post the occasional upbeat message to try and appear balanced in your views so everybody eventually arrives at the opinion that you're an unscrupulous trader, usually on the short side of the trade. No qualms about undermining the investments of others? Why don't you go and mug pensioners of their money as they exit the post office as it amounts to just the same thing?

To be fair they've had covid and environmental issues to deal with in the last 5 years. Having said that, I would have thought we'd be producing at least modest amounts of gold steadily by now and not sniffing out far flung ventures before we even have any steady income. I do hope they know what they're doing with our investments...

Yes 6 holes is nothing, I'd imagine the budget that AA has set aside is enough for a few hundred drills. That's my very rough maths using $150/mtr for diamond drilling for holes 1000 mtrs deep. Not sure how accurate those numbers may be?
