Is the AA corporate strategy still to divest all non copper assets and tout themselves as a pure copper producer to attract a higher takeover bid? If so I would have thought they'd be steaming in to the drilling programme at a faster pace than seems to have been the case up to now.

The 750% mark up was a one off rate for the limited edition coins. Who knows what amount of Clogau Gold will end up in each piece of jewellery thereafter? It could be quite minor amounts but still with a hefty price tag, depending on what the market will bear.

It would have helped investment decisions if the BoD hadn't blithely hyped the value of the gold and the future prospects of the company, and then fail to deliver much gold. Then again, if it's scarcity value of Welsh gold that's going to keep us bobbing along then we're doing great because we haven't produced much at all!

Of course the further processing of the US graphite may not be carried out by Groc so profit margins will be less.

With the US itching to own Greenlandic minerals, you'd think the EU would want to get in ASAP. Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if after further drilling it is eventually confirmed that there is enough graphite in the Amitsoq area for both the EU and the US.

Yes, we've survived bats, water ingress, covid, environmental concerns etc. We've found evidence of visible gold on dewatered levels and drill samples indicate perhaps 100,000 ozs more gold in newly discovered adjacent quartz seams, yet apart from the few auctioned coins nothing much of note has been extracted after months of mining. Maybe they're just sitting on their hands waiting for Groc to pop and bail us out?

And I don't think it's all about international security. They already have a base there and could negotiate to add more as necessary, no need to own the whole place. It's probably more about the perceived mineral wealth thought to exist there.

Trump is actually admiring of and envious of other autocrats like Putin and President Xi of China, both of whom have designs on stealing territory (Ukraine, Taiwan - Tibet was already stolen) I don't think the US cares too much about upsetting the rest of the world, they are pretty self sufficient. Maybe Europe should premptively send armed forces to Greenland to send a message that it won't be given up without a fight?

I think Alba began with s 50%+ stake in Groc when it was floated but since then Groc have diluted a couple of times leaving Alba with just a 28% stake remaining.

I guess only steady gold output from the mine will convince the market that there is actually gold there and Alba have the competence to extract it in an efficient and commercially viable manner.

I think some have lost faith in George's ability to deliver, he seems to come across as a little smug and blase; whereas Stefan seems smart, capable and enthusiastic.

That was also my rough calculation from the results they got after the exploratory drilling looking for, and finding, parallel quartz seams. Maybe there is gold to be found in unworked seams but they seem to be taking forever and a day getting to it. Maybe George doesn't need to rush too much as he still gets his salary no matter what, but the rest of us would like to see quite a bit more of the shiny stuff.
