At the risk of blowing one's own trumpet, I DID predict this would put on a couple of pence initially, before falling back.
Sold some, bought the same a back for less, and banked a couple of shekles :o )
Just a follow-up to something that went 'unanswered' yesterday, does anyone have any idea how much stock has been 'shorted' - and whether exposed shorters may have been squeezed during the last hour yesterday?
...and whether there's more of a squeeze about to be applied?
Yes there was - but Tennor pads work wonders.
Oh,
One other thing I should have mentioned. OB - Your Dad does indeed sound like a legend - I may borrow the balls in the hand line one day!!
:0 )
Curious isn't it that trying to talk the share down - so as (in theory) to save money buying cheaper, is unethical.
...whereas trying to talk the share up - so as (in theory) to make more money selling higher, is fine.
Anyway, despite having a very busy day, I read all this morning's posts over lunch, and since getting home, have just read this afternoon's offerings. I have to say, Mr. P's forecast last night (which doesn't appear to have been adequately acknowledged), about today being 'Major Blue' was 'bang-on-the-money'. When I first read that yesterday, I thought "hmmmm - forecasting a rise based of 14 of the last 16 trades of the day being buys, is plain daft". Had the SP fallen, I may have been minded to extend a little gentle ribbing. However, that would have been childish on my part. As it is, I must give credit where credit is due. Well called Sir.
Right, how does this sound:
If there is no RNS in the morning, the SP will have been seen to rise from 47.5 to 54.75 on FOMO and sentiment - but nothing of substance. I foresee a couple more pence being added early on tomorrow, before a bit of a re-trace. At which point (though the plan is still fluid - subject to a girl changing her mind), I intend to sell some. I have managed to make quite a bit recently, and there's nothing wrong with taking a bit off the table.
One other thing. Someone mentioned naked shorting going on. Does anyone have a handle on how much of this is happening - I'd like to think that this practice - which I do consider unethical, has caught out anyone involved - and that they regret their actions.
J
dr shan,
Thank you for taking the time to post your message. I have taken it all 'on-board'.
That said, predicting a 'blue day tomorrow' is always dangerous and likely to 'bite-one-on-the-backside'.
I hope he's right of course - there's a 50/50 ish chance is suppose.
Good luck all.
I'm not sure 'all guns blazing' is entirely fair - it suggests belligerence - which isn't really 'me' - not on that occasion anyway.
I have every respect for Adam - and am grateful for the insight he affords this board. Grace83 was (is) always worth reading given her degree of her knowledge in the field. I - along with the majority of the rest, am not worth reading. Although I do avoid peddling inflated expectations to benefit my own agenda. This is something 'Saint Tropez' had a proclivity for - and with ubiquitous abandon - echoes of such behaviour is manifest midst others here.
I have no axe to grind - what makes you think otherwise?
For the record, I added more yesterday (twice) and again during the initial dip this morning.
I am quite content with how things are progressing. It appears however, that unless you are
posting an ultra bullish message every 10 minutes or so, you must be negative / looking for a
low entry point.
Again, please give an example of something I've posted that puts the company in a negative light.
The challenge is there - but no one will find anything.
Porky9 OUCH! I appear, unintentionally, to have hit a raw nerve.
On three separate occasions in your 13:30 post (presumably to me - though your spelling appears somewhat wayward, so I can't be certain), you refer to me being "negative". What have I posted that suggests I'm negative? - Please delineate, I look forward to you posting examples.
Furthermore, apparently you "appreciate that I'm a very long-term holder", with a significant write-off..." Again, how on earth have you managed to fabricate this fanciful notion? - certainly nothing I've ever written here, alludes to such.
You appear to be putting 2 + 2 together, and getting considerably more than 5. But then, perhaps that's indicative of your 'M.O.'?
I look forward to a reply which adheres to some degree of reason & reality - or am I setting my expectations a touch too high?
Does anyone believe in 'reincarnation'?
For those of you who were reading this thread during the summer of 2020 - in the weeks leading up to the 62p spike, does anyone remember the poster with the French sounding name SaintTropez (or something like that). He was an extremely bullish and extremely frequent poster here. I can't help thinking he reminds me of someone more 'recently arrived'.
Staint Tropez disappeared during the spike - never to be seen again.
What are you talking about - I was just quoted £14 for ten shares.
:o )
I'm not holding out much hope of a sensible answer - but here we go anyway:
Why is 'price-monitoring' deemed 'RNS-able'?
Who does the monitoring, and why does it need monitoring.
Does it matter?
Doesn't look like it.
+ 2 x 50k, 1 x 75k and 1 x 25k.
300k in the space of 7 or 8 minutes. Round number accumulations.
Looking for a level headed opinion hear is like looking for a needle in a haystack - when you've lost the haystack.
However, Grace if you're still around, are you more grounded than some of the hyperbolic sorts besetting the boards?
Where will the SP be at the turn of the year (best guess).

Long may this recovery endure.
Is there no end t this torture?
"Very pleased"
:o )
Your "reliable source" was right.
