Well now we see Bristol street motors advertising the same as cinch, buy online + delivery + 14 days money back etc.
So will Lookers now be doing the same and will all the current big car firms be doing the same?
This will give the online only guys a big run for their money.!!!!

In all honesty I feel sorry for both of you guys if you think anything said on thse boards makes anyone buy or sell in a particular company , or helps the SP up or down.
We all know that most posters just come on these boards for a bit of light banta / fun and games to pass the day, and get some common feelings with others that have invested in the same shares. Get real.

I guess that when you look at Mars against wetherspoon and whitbread etc Mars does look under valued and it a possible takeover target when we are at these very low levels.
As always when we are shareholders of a company you always look forward to any higher takeover offer, and when you look at what Mars have and what the sp should be when we get back to normal the SP could be £1+ no trouble.
But will it happen, the answer is possibly at some stage but when we least expect it and at a much higher price than we expect.

I can't see any other large sellers over the last few months, so have they bought this many shares on the open market with the aid of a broker who has been pushing down the sp to get hold of the stock.
That would explain why the sp has been held back for months/ weeks.
Maybe now it will go back to where it should be. £1.

Is that right , it looks like Aberforth Partners LLP have gone straight in and bought just over 5% .
Do they know something we don't , or is MARS just a very cood buy at the moment?

This is vog, if you have invested in this you will know from the past that vog never make any profit, they never do what they say they will do or produce agaoinst their targets. You will never get back your money and all that happens is YOU LOSE.
I would suggest you sell before there is another cash call and at least get something back.

Got no idea what's going on with the sp, I have a number of stocks that have all come out with good or very good up-dates and you would expect to see the sp to go up but like Mars they are all going down while the ftse is well up.
Just how much more can we keep topping up in the hope of a positive change.
We all know Mars isn't going bust and should do very well from now on, and I know that at some stage we will be back above 80p with Mars but just how low will this go before it turns ?

Now I am waiting to see one of Card Balloons or 3 Balloons attached to the Returning POD of
William Shatner space rocket aboard Blue Origin rocket coming back to ground.
Now that would be big news !!!!!
But I don't know how many of these balloons each store could hold in stock .

Risky to get back in now, looks like the city is pushing this back to £2.50 ish mark over the next few weeks and doesn't look good .Maybe it's only worth £2.50 ish anyway !!!

Yes I think the RNS was good with NO shocks in it and as they said also going to plan it that it is also a pre close year end statement.
I think many sold out over the last 1-2 weeks expecting some bad news, so I guess many will now buy back in expecting this to go to £1 within the next few months.
At least now we can relax and not worry about it getting better although it might take a few weeks.

It's been well known now for 10 years that there is enough gas in the north see to cover almost all the uk needs but the government and industry want short term fixes and no one is willing to invest for the long term but prefer to buy in cheap now from Europe. To where we are now Gas from Russia or EU electric from france , govenment didn't want the cost of building More Nuke Power stations but tried to get China and France to cover the cost. Government and industry only hold / held about 5% of gas needed for the uk while EU holds about 19%. we don't want to use coal or gas for power stations even though we have plenty , it just doesn't look good or set a good example. Let's charge everyone a levy on their bills to go green just because a few do gooders can't live with the thought that the whole world has benefited and developed and grown for 100 years be doing just that. My grand parents never worried about us and people will find a way to live to a better / higher standard by using all coal / gas / sola etc etc if they want to.
If we all go green with electric cars how will the power stations have enough power to make it work. When we all go green the government will be what about £6bn pounds short of tax from car tax , so everyone will have to pay to use the roads, No gas c/heating and all on Heat pumps but the cost of running heat pumps is far too high and you can only get about 15 degrees from the ground and not enough to heat your house. Still so many questions.

Yes it's all wrong when we are forced to do things that the government think is best for us at the time when these ideas are always put forward by so called think tanks or lobby people , all for money.
It wasn't that long ago that the governments all said GO diesel, now after killing god knows how many people it's all change to electric or go green.
But like everything we could all go green tomorrow but it would mean many / most of us would all lose our jobs, it's all about balance. It just goes to show how little all parties have thought this through. Do away with petrol and gas , I think the last few weeks has just shown everyone the world is just not ready to do away with iether if we want to live our lives in a normal way. China / Russia , India will have a great life with much cheaper overheads while the uk cuts all it's workforce pays 4 times the cost for gas and electric while evryone is un-employed at home. Funny old times.

They are just words but could be put out by any party , so don't take notice of it at all . I am also trying to build my life better and the art is to just do what you want knowing no matter what you say and do will not make the slightest bit of difference to anyone else.
I always start to feel sad for anyone who thinks big brother is trying to control us all. It's just not true.
In a few months / years there will be another crisis and the government in power will try to stop us all going on to electric because there won't be enough power to go round and everything will cost twice the price as today. The world will be getting colder and we will have to start using more gas to stop us going into another ice age. It's just life.

Come on we all know there is normally a big rally is shares from Nov - February from Christmas trading and with luck it will be the same this year. Just keep calm and stay positive there are more important things to worry about other than the stock market.

Why should the SP be any higher than this, with everything that's going on with higher prices, taxes,overheads, maybe a more realistic sp would be £2.50.

Just look at companies like BOO now down below £2, Roo about half what everyone said it would be and now about £2.70, and there are many more. Saga could / should stay this lever or below for the next 3-6 months.

So some people do have some very funny ideas don't they, What's all this trying to usher in huge fundamental changes to how we live our lives.
Is it maybe that the normal people are just playing things a little safer at the moment and will get back to normal in full in a few months.

So just where are we heading with this, many including me topped up at 74p and OK i could have saved a few hundred pounds but anywhere between 70p -74p is a good price.
I guess many are waiting for the trading up-date this week and it will iether shoot back up to 80p or sink a little to 65p, but long term still a very good buy and might even be worth topping up more now while it's so low.

If we look at the markets at the moment there is only doom and gloom everywhere, with oil ,gas and by the looks of things food and general overheads all heading north most companies will be making less profits all round.
Just imagine what the extra running costs will be for Saga holidays, food , wages, enging oils, taxes etc etc.
From this point on all/ most profits will be down for almost all companies with SP 's going down.
Could we be seeing £2.50 again? who knows but anything can happen.

I guess that at some point even though pfd have probably foward bought their gas at a lower price, they will in the coming weeks / months have to pay more for their gas.
PFD like many food factories use large amounts of gas to heat and cook many food products, so will have to pass or try and pass on much of the increased costs.
If they pass on some of the costs their margings will have to decline and if they pass on most of the increases then their sales will go down, it does look like the rest of this year 2021 and maybe 2022 will see a big drop in year end profit numbers.
