Hi Rox, sold some saga today with a little profit and bought more of these at 53p ish, now is that a good or bad move?

OK hands up I thought the SP would have gone back up to at least 59p-60p by now, but if we read this right the SP has been affected by the mention of inflation in the up-date more than anything else.
Now if that is the case then surely inflation will affect all other retailers just as much as CardF so why the very deep drop for CardF against all the others.
I still think there must be more to this and to me it looks like the BOD's wanted the SP to drop for a reason, could it be that at this price a possible takeover offer might be close or just Directors wanting to buy more stock. So where is the bottom.??

But you have to wonder why the bod's have put in a number of approx £30m for extra costs when that is an estimate and they didn't really need to at this stage, so why do it or was it done to drive down the SP so the directors can buy in big at this lower price. I guess we will find out within the next few days if there are some RNS 's to confirm that.

Today is just another day where it proves the city don't really care about the position of any company good or bad , they are just interested in making money even if they can almost drive a company to limits. We pi's don't stand a chance and must just ride these waves and make even bigger gambles.

Well it looks like i's all going to plan with sales for the 11 months doing ok and net debt down to £60m, and that could be a little lower after 12 months so maybe they will not need to raise any money.
Should see a profit for full year, but the big question is will the city like it and will the SP go up to 70p+. Soon find out.

You cannot compare with 250p , that was a freak and a more stable price was about £2.80p - £2.90.

I am sure we are all looking for a very positive up-date with SP responding and going up to 80p, but in reality I guess the rns will be just a modest one with a few set-backs and SP will go up or down by 1-2p if we are lucky. Don't we love to proved wrong !!!!!!!

So the ftse / market is well up at about 7500 and Saga is/ has been going backwards for the last few days / weeks. What's going on we should be back up to £3.50 ish no trouble.

I think you had it right the first time but you meant the SP + 400%, which could be possible on Thursday.

A few years back we would have never thought this SP would be where it is now and many / most are well under water but the way this is going I wouldn't be surprised if we hit £1 very soon bfoer it starts to go up again.

Some times a company will release a trading up-date early if it's better than predicted or later if it's on the negative side. but again some companies will just release the rns on the correct day regardless of it's condition. It would be good if it were tomorrow that could mean it's better than predicted. What the hell, it will be what it is anyway as long as the sp goes to 70p.!!!!

Well I just hope they start making a lot more profit fast to help pay for all this advertising.
It's everywhere in papers and TV almost every day of the week, now if this doesn't bring in lots more business god help us. I would like to know just how much they are spending on this advertising, £10m- £50m ?

Leave it in the bank,for many years I have had what about £200k in shares and in the account after keep adding to it knowing I would be making millions but that never happens.
Now I am at the stage of thinking I have never transfered any mony back into my bank account but this year I think I will and just stat enjoying some of it. It is a great feeling knowing you have large amounts of cash in the bank that you can get your hands on when you want, or is it you don't want it to be there so your wife could get her hands on it ?

Just starting to get that pushing the sell button feeling on a few Card if they go up more today and make some profits just incase they take a dive next week. It's always a gamble.

Good morning Rox, A little while ago you said you were 100% in CardF with your avr well above 60p and down twhat was it about £70k, now your saying you sold about 20% and put it into wks and SSaga which I am also in, but that means you must have sold at a big loss or are you now going to tell us you have made large sums of money just before switching. That's the trouble with telling everyone what you are doing. So are we looking at a few little porkies here?
