Funding is a genuine and legitimate concern on AIM, it’s always going to happen to some extent for a company like Kibo.

Of course, your phenomenal nose aside Jeffry, there is every chance when the next funding does arrive (I realise you have now being calling a placing here since Noah was a lad and it’s yet to happen) could actually be ‘a rabbit out the hat’ moment and may not be negative at all.

It all depends on what quality Moz, Bots and MAST are seen by potential investors.

I’m thinking along the lines of JPM’s recent comments ‘prefer to do business with the Chinese’. The more I think about it the more I think they don’t want western companies there. Look how they have treated Barrack Gold. They have done everything to chase them out the country. And low and behold, Barrack are now talking to the Chinese to sell their Tanzanian operations. Populist government trying to either nationalise resources through the back foot or give them to the Chinese as a geopolitical play. JD

Yes. It’s a sham. MCPP is less than 20km to the interconnector and the SAPP. It already has a full feasibility study / design on the connection plan which SEPCO has fully signed up to as Phase 2 of the JDA. The whole thing stinks. Even more so due to it’s proximity to the interconnector and it must be the cheapest CTPP in the country due to this geography (1km of double phase 400Kv lines cost close to USD$2m). Couple that with MCPP being years more advanced than any other CTPP it leads you to believe this is simply a plan to shaft a western company. JD

I wouldn’t necessarily agree that it would be the end of KIBO and SEPCO as a partnership. LC doesn’t wash his dirty laundry in public and the Chinese obviously like a man after their own heart. They would happily hang about Bots and Moz if they like what LC does. And let’s be honest, they haven’t hung about for 4 years because they think he or the product he delivers is crap. They clearly like what they see at MCPP and it may now only be them that can take it forward. No need to take that personally, agree a price, move on to the next standalone projects. It’s only business after all. JD

Just musing mate, could well be that the TG don’t want any ‘perceived’ western country companies in there in any way shape or form. They may prefer dealing with a wholly owned Chinese project that they can deal with (country on country) as you say, OBOR related. Let’s be frank, Tanzania is now a no go area for Western Companies.

You could be right, it has crossed my mind on more than a couple of occasions these last few days that this will be snapped up the Chinese for a (relative) song / on the cheap and then by magic the SML / PPA will then be granted almost immediately. Considering where we are (I view Tanzania as dead to us) I would welcome it for the right monies. However, were I take umbrage with your point (and lots have done this) is that we are somehow desperate for money or the lights will go out. We are debt free and I think your way off in that summation.

Lurker is maybe the only genuine one amongst them. And by genuine, I meant a genuinely sad, bitter and vengeful old man. I’ve figured who Lurker is, he’s that one guy in your office who thinks he’s a stone cold legend who guys want to be and women want to be with. When, in reality, he’s the guy everyone tries not to get caught with along in lifts or a Christmas night out as you know the conversation is going to be utterly desperate. JD

Most of them are the same poster (whoever that 48 year old virgin in his Mums basement happens to be). Mice, DP and Nerdsofsteel all make the same language errors from time to time and the ‘yous’ slip is a dead giveaway amongst all three of them. It’s all very ‘deliberate’ and in unison what gets posted over there. JD
