Spot on, Bcl. BTW, anyone done any research into the new Kabulo Coal to Power Plant??? Don’t bother, there appears to be nothing on it. It appears to be operating on a PL (no ML or SML), has no PFS / DFS, on EIAS or an actual location that I can find of the proposed Power Plant. In fact, as far as I can tell it has been plucked completely out of thin air. So it will be years of feasibility studies before a brick is laid. JD

What needs to happens (and what is happening IMHO) is LC, the BoD, Sanderson, Shumba, MAST and Thermoelectrica are all in discussions on what actions are needed going forward in order to salvage this situation and how to take things forward. As a PI my / our saving grace is everyone of the above is in as much red ink as I / you are. IMHO there will be no ‘confetti’ issued in shares and I expect to see a period of serious cash conservation prior to the next funding coming up. We need to sometimes remember the situation and put your emotions to one side. We still have no debt, we still have serious partners on board who aren’t going to allow their years of hard work and projects to be washed away and I think (even completely removing Tanzania) our MCAP has gotten a bit silly. Honestly! Debatable if we will ever see every penny back. But, even half of our $25m development costs (pure example) would be 150% of our current market cap with three great projects funded and progressing well. We are where we are and we need to move forward (without Tanzania IMHO). Bizarrely I see this as an opperunity to reposition ourself for the future. JD

As I said when the news originally broke, Tanzania appears dead to anyone with a ‘Western’ bent. This is born out with his new love affair with the Egyptians (and the Chinese will always be about). They won’t even give out MLs or SMLs to Western miners now. This is where JPM’s populist revolution has taken us. Wrap it up, sell it on and move on to pastures new. A good sum from MCPP and go develop Bots, Moz and MAST with it. JD

Gillie, Indeed, it almost looks like a government dealing with reality and not populist nonsense. I find the very large tarrif for industry consuming over 500Kwh at 21c per Kwh (converted) the most interesting. If you could say half that (I’m plucking a figure out of thin air) and come to a deal with a large miner for the offtake and come to a deal with them over coal supply too you can see how compelling the business case becomes. If your a miner consuming 50Mw hours for example as part of you Operation then the savings are large. Not to mention stable supply allows you to plan for future / expansion operations. Let’s hope the fact that this is a ‘private’ deal makes it quick. JD

SYM, he was most certainly flat and a touch subdued. Of course that could just have been the interviewer, who is not the same energetic so and so as you get on VOX for example, Zack Mir is a dire interviewer. Who knows what the future holds, he may be looking to pass over the mantle, but I don’t think so, it is probably no more than a guy who has just had a few days of a proper kicking at Work and has to get through it, we’ve all been there when you have had a nightmare at work and you can’t be buggered. A guy about to throw in the towel doesn’t waste his time with Video Interviews IMHO. JD

We are where we are, wishing to be in a difference situation isn’t going to make it so. From an investor point of view I intend taking my average seriously down over the next few days when funds become because I think this offers serious value for money now. I just don’t see the need to bring the razor blades out just yet. JD

For me this comes down to getting Mozambique PPA wrapped up in the quarter. JD
