If you look at NCCL’s historic observations in 2012/2013 you will see that STEAG ‘independently reviewed’ their DFS.

If I had to hazard a guess I would say STEAG are carrying out the PFS / DFS for both Moz and Bots. From the RNS on Moz yesterday:

‘Site visit with STEAG and other technical consultants completed from 14 to 17 January 2019’

Re-reading the Benga RNS you have to think they are pushing on with what they view as their best / quickest chance (out of the Africa projects) of getting it off the ground?

Interestingly they are ‘only’ going for 150Mw to start with, possibly they are thinking that if they can get a portion taken off them by a private off-taker and then possibly the rest <75Mw or so taken off them by the Moz Government?

Maybe starting off smaller and breaking it up somewhat between off takers will give folks more chance of committing finances to it long term if the financial risk is smaller than say 300Mw straight up for MCPP and MCIPP?

Steag Energy has popped up on Page 9 as a ‘partner’. Interestingly, Steag (large German O&M provider) is already in Botswana working on the only coal fire power plant in Botswana (Morupule A and B). NCCL was admitted to AIM on 10th June 2010 at a price of 123p placing on admission. If you’d invested £10k in NCCL at that price it would now be worth £406 (so it’s historical performance is worse than KIBO).

Yes, some interesting reads this weekend. FWIW I'm of the view we have a very good CEO in LC, he isn't perfect and has some gaping holes in his skill base around communications and sharing information, but I've come to terms with that a while ago. That isn't going to get any better. Changing him and the BoD would achieve noting here, in fact it would seriously harm us IMHO. Plus, it ain't going to happen anyway. Tanzania has been a disaster for us, I have no idea what is coming up in terms of the tender on that so let's hope for a speedy development of Bots, Mozambique and the UK projects. Let's hope for news and a good investor evening this week. Like Pauly, I have an extremely long term view here as I think it will be needed. JD
