Worth a read as you say, but I take umbrage with white middle class westerners telling the poor folks (whom only half a century where kept under the lash by said westerners) not to use the same minerals under their own feet to spread wealth through their nations that they themselves have used in centuries gone buy. It's shocking hypocrisy. That's before we even get to the fact that coal is not the evil character it's painted as by tree hugging idiots with a vested interest. Simple fact is, on a mine and mouth basis (where you have no transport costs) coal is still the cheapest 'base' load power there is. Yes, we have a duty on ourselves and future generations to limit emissions and use coal responsibly. But that doesn't mean litter countries with expensive no base load alternatives like wind and solar which need 'peaking' power in coal or gas to work properly anyway which brings you full circle to having a diversified power producing portfolio. My Costa Coffee in the morning (through a three phase electric supply coffee machine) probably uses more power than the average Tanzanian has to use all day. JD

The first three are definitely positive, depending on how it’s done, the forth one can be too.

Found it (them) appears to be a tranche of three approved for Eagle Exploration Limited (Haneti / Katoro) in the last day or two. Let's hope that is a prelude to the SML being limbered up.....

Some great posts below and I share the optimism as we look to 2019 and beyond. We have some great projects to develop at Kibo Energy and if we can get through the stages (more or less) at the programme dates outlined in the FE Broker Note then we should be in for a bumper year IMVHO, of course, nothing will go in a straight line, a bit like life.

Income generation would be nice, but as you say its at least those timescales away (we don’t know yet what MAST will deliver) so the investment proposition here isn’t about income generation anyway is it? Not in the immediate timescales anyway. It’s about building up formidable assets and taking them through the development gears. Feasbility, permitting, financing all of these add considerable value to an asset long before you ever get to earning anything from it. The question from a Investment proposition is what is MCPP, MCIPP and BIPP worth this time next year if it progresses close to or at the timescales outlined in the broker note? I bet you it’s not an MCAP of £12m considering the sheer size of these projects in comparison to our MCAP. The best example of this is SOLG. It’s not going to be producing for years, many years, I doubt they could even hang on to an asset like that let alone develop it, but if you believe the recent press on a takeover it’s got a £1b price tag all over it. As long as we continue to progress these projects as stated the MCAP will take care of itself. JD

I sincerely hope you are correct, friend. If the table of ‘Key Project Timelines’ on Page 4 of the Broker Note turns out to be more accurate than not, then we should be in for a far better 2019 than 2018.

Yes, it’s been ‘not great’ as regards to Kibo and 2018, as far as the SP is concerned. However, you have to look out towards the horizon and 2019 with hope otherwise none of us would still be here invested and posting (I am referring to the genuine posters here of course).

One thing is undisputed IMHO. The array of projects Kibo now has in their arsenal is truly formidable, they are exponentially larger than the current MCAP, the question, is can we get them ‘over the line’? If we can then one almighty return awaits for us.

As regards to funding that seems to be biggest ‘issue’ on investor’s minds. I don’t see it as the doomsday issue that some do, LC has never struggled to get money in through the door, he won’t again this time, of course, I have no idea what price will be paid for that (short / medium or long term). But again, having been here in 2014 where money was raised at 1.5p the SP went to 10p in a matter of weeks, so sometimes the pain of fund raising can unleash a larger positivity.

A small 8,616 top up for me to see me into the New Year in better spirits. A fantastic Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone it’s a great time of year, please enjoy it.

The last date I can find for a ‘direct purchase’ was via a placing was October 2014 at 1.5p (RNS link above). I agree the next fundraising however that occurs should come with some of their cash as well.
