Sums it up. I’ll put a SEPCO Equity Investment at somewhere in the ‘extremely unlikely’ range. As discussed on here last Monday, you have to be forced to call their bluff, otherwise you’ll just get taken for a ride. Wrap a bow on it and move in to the next suitor. We will just have to agree to disagree, on what LC has built here, I personally think it is formidable given the times we are in, liquidity in the last 5 years in this sector has been brutal to come across, to end up where we are today with the projects in the stable and ‘only’ 640m shares in circulation, with zero nasties in the cupboard (debt or warrants, etc.) in circulation is remarkable IMHO, of course, folks will rightly mention the 1/15 consolidation that has also gone on prior to 2011, but before my time.

As for future fundraising, name of the game on AIM, it’s a ‘Junior’ Market for a reason, it needs funds to keep going, that isn’t an issue, it how he now goes about it, we will need to see the SEPCO / Other Investor’s RNS of last Monday and see how that pans out.

That would appear to be the PI attitude, not a long term investor attitude. MAST, Schumba, Termoeléctrica, all very happy in the past 12 months to give Kibo a majority stake in their company for nothing more than ‘faith’ and shares in Kibo, doesn’t really grab you as a company on the slide.

And that is before we even get to GE and SEPCO3 (who clearly don’t want to walk away).

With that update. Showing a continued ‘build up’ of our strategy. ‘Shovel’ ready can only mean all Planning, feasbility and permitting in place and ready to construct. So really, it will just be the funding and financing of the projects that have to be gotten. Thinking about this, whoever is selling must be in a place where they cannot advance it any further than they have gotten and must be satisfied Kibo can. When you read this, there is a lot of similarities with us IMHO regarding the SEPCO3 buy in. The Chinese never seem to be in any great rush to invest, it all seems to be take as much time as they feel is necessary in order to squeeze the last drop of juice out of it for their own benefit, they will do this with KIBO and the GoT alike.

I personally don’t have an issue with that, they have the cash, size and the perceived power in these instances. It’s why it’s absolutely critical that LC stands his ground in order to get the best deal for KIBO shareholders in the long term, even if that is at the speed of advancement in the short term.

WB and ADB money now being put to use on the electric transmission line backbone to which new power projects will connect. Contracts now being awarded. Now all they need is to construct shovel ready projects to put some blood into these arteries.

It all a bit of a dog and pony show this tendering exercise, they may have done it for reasons of ticking a public procurement box, it may have been done to genuinely see what is out there in terms of differing projects and possibly a competitive exercise could promote something better in terms of what offers they have / thought they would get. But, I don’t think so. What we actually have is the same projects that they knew of already at wildly differing stages (MCPP being the most advanced).

Beyond this, I still don’t know what EDL, Intra Energy, or whoever say in their tenders? Nothing can hide the massive black hole that they are years and a chunky 8 figure sum behind us in terms of permitting and getting the feasibility stages together and considering both of the companies are valued at less than £3m MCAP there is no way their projects advance without giving them away to the Chinese.

The brass tacks are we will have gone round in a 6 month circle to end up with Kibo and the GoT being in a PPA discussion with each other. As I said, frustrating as hell, but ultimately very lucrative for us shareholders IMHO.

How many others have a full BFS on mine and plant, full financial model and an EPC Contractor signed up and ready to go? Painful it has been, but once the clouds have cleared and we scan the horizon to alternatives to MCPP (they are now admitting Steigler’s Gorge will be in the 2030s, maybe) are few and far between.
