RE: New CEO Interview21 Jul 2020 12:28
Nothing that wasn't really said in the spongeshare interview but nice to get a reply to my question from Emma. Always adds a little confidence in mgnt when they are engaged with shareholders.
Good afternoon Emma,
I would firstly as a shareholder like to thank you for the great work you and the team are doing with progressing our pipeline of projects. I am also hoping this is a perfect storm with the price of gold looking very strongly positioned upwards.
One small area of concern for me is around the environmental permit, given this is the trigger to allow mining to start. Back in June as part of the GLA agreement RNS it was expected in “a few weeks”, which was still the case in the updated DEP RNS last week.
Are there any notable delays or issues with the permit applications that could hold up commencement of the project?
Regards,
J

Dear J
Thank you for reaching out to GoldStone. I do firmly believe that we are in the perfect storm with the price of gold and the development staying "almost" on track, considering covid and a little stint in the naughty corner.
The environmental permit will be a process, Ghana was on complete lockdown for 8 weeks for this COVID19, as we were here in the UK, and the EPA were getting up to speed in June.
We are in the queue with several other companies all vying for the EPA attention. As you will see the Gov. of Ghana is very pro mining, https://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/business/Parliament-approves-14-mining-leases-1009756
We have a meeting with the EPA this week to discuss the management plan, so we know we are close.
Just keep your fingers crossed that this COVID19 doesn’t rear its nasty head again, then we will keep it all on course.
With kind regards
Emma
