1. AVCT have done their part in sending the Affimers to Cytiva and we have been notified. The ball is in Cytiva's court and they can just release an RNS to settle your nerves. Until then we have to wait.

3. They arent doing well if you bought in at 212 - but if you bought in then, you likely came across this from your mate in the pub or on twitter. Long term investors have been in this for years, researched the longer term plays and sitting on profits. If you play the follow the herd game - you more often than not get burned!

Extraction cost all in $1100 / oz (feel it would be less given existing infrastructure NCM has so cost to mine £11bn
Pre tax profit $6bn and GGP have a 30% share of that as it stands which = $1.8bn
Surely NCM would have to pay a premium for that share of HAV (that is at low resource estimate, high costs estimate and conservative gold price)
At £400m MCAP this surely looks good! Not to mention all the other potential finds we have out there....

Yes alwayswinning - if you're in this for the COVID play and are hoping to make a quick buck, sell when you make your short term profit target and b*gger off. Some of us are in here for the long term cancer play, with the genuine belief Affimers are revolutionary in the medical space and COVID is a great test case. All the more reason why I hope AS doesn't rush to get news out to keep Ajok and his crew happy on an ambiguous timeline. If this product is premature and doesnt work AVCT's reputation is shot for the long term, years of hard work down the pan.

Mainly MM's triggering stop losses of people who bought in double digits. They know where the stop losses are and its an easy way to feed a new wave of demand. Also remember, everyone has their price, a 2x bagger can be life changing for some so selling is natural as a stock rises.
Probably some people selling who bought high out of fear no news yet. Think thats just poor research and rookies taking a punt in my opinion.

Definite "mugging" David1951c. No fundamentals have changed here since the peak, some nervous Nellys who took AS's timeline comment in the RNS of a few weeks to be definitively Monday 1st June. MM's know where the stop losses are s o drop it to hit those and feed the building demand in the 160's. As it drops, weak holders without stop losses also sell out in fear. Classic AIM games - the problem is there are now so many people getting into the investing game who are replacing their weekend footy accas with a dabble on the stock market because they saw a tweet or their "mate" said "buy this its going to go mental!"

Would welcome opinions here and by no means a de-ramp as I am well invested here and I want to top up to average down. Something in my head (I am sure just human nature) says could this be another KIBO? So many plays on the go and nothing actually materialises?
Think Africa makes me nervous full stop but the risk reward is something I am happy to take.

The slightest hint of delay will not drop this under £1. What would drop this under £1 is AVCT posting an RNS to say the test is ready to keep you happy that they have got your interpretation of a few weeks, then it get thrown out by the FDA or other bodies for being sub optimal! This is the pharma business and people’s lives that are impacted. You have to get it right, and getting it right takes time.
A few more days for me is okay - AS could kill the future reputation of Affimers and this business (which weren’t initially designed for COVID), in one fell swoop with a sub optimal test. Now that would kill the share price.
This is the pharma business - think about it!

We also shouldn't forget a lot of the BOD will be underwater and have taken pay cuts to stabilise the business as a result of this issue. Not often you see BOD's with skin in the game and taking pay cuts on AIM. That's what fills me with more hope than anything with this Co.
It's not always the set backs that define you but the way you respond to them....good point ShangrLa, hopefully this now just works away in the background and attention is focused elsewhere on pushing projects forward

Unfortunately this just confirms what we were pretty confident we knew in that we were due money the client hadn’t paid. The key part, which we are still no closer the getting an answer on is how much we will actually get and when. That will make the decisions on how quickly we can progress our projects.
All it does show, positively, is that clearly the client is a shady mo fo if the SEC are already involved so doesn’t seem like negligence on SML’s side, just an unfortunate choice of client who had empty promises.
Sadly, can’t see this going north until we have some clarity on how much will actually be paid to us and when. Sure we aren’t the only ones who got screwed over.
This will be a long , drawn out process - hopefully some clarity from the board if they plan to push on now or wait to see what we receive.

You also have to think there’s no furlough schemes in India, no state benefits, and mass poverty! Many People Who rely on manual labour there were saying they weren’t scared of COVID because the other option when the country was totally locked down was starvation. Utterly awful.
Let’s hope AVcT’s affordable test comes to fruition and can really make a difference in developing countries.
Morally I would love to be invested in a company that saves lives directly and indirectly. Yes making a few quid in the process is great but puts it all into perspective as I sit typing this in my garden with a beer in hand!

You can only average down to zero.......I actually want this to do well but these RNS's are like groundhog day and my already thin patience with him wears thinner each time. The sooner LC is out the better and put someone in charge who actually has a track record of delivering something tangible.

Not sure I agree with you here Scottyboy, I'm with trader72. How long prior to COVID has it takes and drug to be researched, tested, approved....its a multiyear process in most cases. Yes things are being fast tracked but to try and do that in 2 months say just opens the door for sub optimal products. Hence why everything the Govt are promoting to try and stem off a frustrated public ends up being a dud and they move on to the next candidate. I would rather wait for a product that works and it be 2 weeks late than announce a product beofre the rest and it turn out to be useless. The market will forget a delay but not a failed product, think about the long term reputational damage of all the cancer plays if we get this wrong.
Hype is a big play in pharmas at the moment, if you have a good product, get it right first time and put it out there when its ready, not before!

Didn't need a crystal ball to predict a flurry of air filled RNS's in the run up to the EGM. If you hadn't been doing this for years LC some might have fallen for it. Not fooling me...You'll need to add some genuine shareholder value to this company.

Keep those votes AGAINST all the resolutions coming if you haven't already! Can't let them get away with this.

I had already requested my No vote via phone but have done so online just to be double sure!

It's as simple as the quick click of a button to try our damnedest to overrule this snatch and grab attempt by LC to rinse PI's . The RNS and Sanderson shareholding increase show we have them rattled. It may not be enough buy I would like to go down trying.

Get your AGAINST votes in everyone, make it count.

Daniel sorry for the slow reply. I certainly can’t advise you on how to manage your investment in this share. I’m on the fence here and do hope it really flies for my investment and the knock on effect into KIBO where I am very far underwater!
BUT my point here is that LC has a history of promising things and never delivering, diluting people along the way.
Some good points from people in that it’s not just him, there is a JV but I just can’t bring myself to fully trust anything he is involved in. All my personal option of course.
I think the tipping point here either way is the funding deal. That should significantly de risk things here.

Greedy t*ats, how about you decide on an alternative that is practical for shareholders and actually crack on with delivery something tangible....then you can get paid! Because I ain’t paying your salary any more sunshine....
