I think you could easily push that date out to 2035. Also, while having a potential resource in the ground is valuable, extraction—and especially processing—are the critical challenges. I’d compare this article to a Phase 1 drug trial: promising micro sites, but still a long way from commercial reality.

They can keep that IPO, the lock in period looks like a disaster.

I think a buyout is looking increasingly likely. Just look at the ongoing bickering between MP and USAR over IP — and we’re steadily building a significant amount of IP in this space ourselves.

I think some posters had a racy time for the listing and I agree, I think this is a weeks activity and not months.

We’ve had another day of trading with reflective SP action. I can still see some downward pressure from the institutional investor, as some of the larger sells still look very rounded when looking over the figures.

There was an EXIM meeting this week — might have been today — which could explain the synchronised WD movements.

I think even over the last year, the prospects for the business have changed significantly. We now officially have two recycling facilities/plants, and hopefully we’ll soon see some concrete progress towards building the US plant. We also now have someone dedicated to Asian expansion and are apparently in discussions with a partner there.

On top of that, there’s Pulawy and Songwe as assets.

And apparently this stuff is becoming incredibly valuable — yttrium prices have surged massively — and luckily enough, from what I’ve heard, we’ve got quite a bit of it at Songwe.

I think the rest of this year is going to be very interesting. The sector/business alignment is starting to come together at the same time as the Lancaster assets begin to break out

With that in mind, I can see us being in a much stronger position for a potential TO. As Biffa pointed out a while back (and not as a dig at the team), the current company structure still feels built around the front end of a project. You can see similarities with Pensana’s earlier structure as well, but there’s looks very different atm.

Once listed on Nasdaq, I think the pull of the Lancaster assets becomes much more obvious for larger industry players looking to build resilience and secure large-scale output/feedstock (Pulway being the key)

What I’d personally like to see over the summer is more definition around what the Asia side of the business could look like. That was briefly mentioned in one of the recent RNSs and I believe it’s also referenced on the investor pages.

As for the German acquisition, there’s been a lot of discussion around it, but for me it’s more of a “so what” at this stage. I’m sure it helps improve the overall footprint and operational positioning, but it doesn’t really feel like the core purpose or long-term value driver of the business, certainly not enough to drive the SP.

Codejunkie, I agree with your comment. It’s easy to make up commentary around “groundbreaking” processes and plants, or to vomit rhetoric on random non-comments regarding feedstock.

The position hasn’t changed: the engineering has been completed, the equipment has been commissioned, independent studies have confirmed the feedstock is there, and the process has been peer-reviewed by industry experts.

Sentiment has taken a knock from the placing and the misalignment around the actual TPA for Tesley, but I’d guess that’s why the CFO walked.

Fundamentally, this is now a waiting game.
