In4 and others are sitting on a return of over 130% for the last year JB, what are you sitting on profit wise? There's only one person for whom the penny hasn't dropped. Clueless as usual.

It's clear that the highly speculated up front cash payment on the Mopane field hasn't materialised, hence the disappointment as some Sintana shareholders were expecting this. I suspect that there will be a short term impact on the value of Sintana, but medium to long term has this really changed the prospects or potential?

Marc, don't you think that they would have done that by now? Shareholders have had ample time to do so, this isn't exactly news!

Hmm.. abdulm1 if you bought 100 CEG shares now, as and when the merger goes through you will end up with approx 47 shares in the new enlarged Sintana entity. Does that help? I thought this was straight forward, you will end up with just under half the shares you hold at the conclusion of the deal.

So following the Sintana Shareholder letter how long before the announcement that Chevron are the partner on OFF3? Answers on a postcard but my best guess is in the next 6 weeks!

Eldwick, you can own overseas shares in your ISA, just has to be a recognised stock exchange. There is an RNS confirming that they will be listed on AIM. What was the point of your post?

I think that you may be correct Stewart, there's more to this than meets the eye. Have you noted that analysts have a 12 month target price for Sintana of C$1.84, more than three times where they are today, so it isn't all bad. Admittedly they will have to line quite a few ducks up but their track record over the last three years isn't bad at all and the fall in their share price over the last year or so has actually worked very much in our favour!

The share price is clearly being manipulated for the benefit of certain institutions and it's being going on for months! All these large "unknowns", yeah right.

Hello IK, this is clearly IMHO a behind the scenes deal. Charlestown and others (MS & Goldman?) have convinced both BOD's that this needs to happen for whatever reason, perhaps we'll find out soon enough. I'd be disappointed if they announce the OFF3 farm out in the next month or so because we could have got a much better price for the business. Perhaps this deal was needed to secure a farm out? who knows, but again it would be interesting if it is Chevron . It all feels a bit incestuous. Sintana have lots of fingers in pies so perhaps we will still do well out of this one way or the other!

The Toronto exchange opens in about 20 mins so it will be interesting to see the response of the share price to todays news. They have fingers in quite a few pies with a lot of potential so it may not be all bad!

Discussions have obviously been going on for some time and this explains a lot IMHO. The share price has been kept artificially low for several months now and now we know why! 16.61p equivalent seems too low but I need to do some research on Sintana to try and establish whether this is a decent deal for the medium to longer term. There's a lot to digest.

To many institutional investors involved these days, so I think that a takeover is unlikely.

JohnBriggs, what a clown, showing your ignorance and naivety yet again. This is O&G exploration it doesn't happen overnight. There is plenty happening in the short term as confirmed in the video link that Troajan provided. Seismics, OFF3 farm in negotiations etc, what's not to like unless your a disgruntled non shareholder with zero credibility.

Brex , you're on the wrong BB as you must be talking about another company as you clearly don't have a clue about what is going on with CEG. Cash in the bank is the least of our worries, dilution is NOT on the agenda. Grow up.

Watch this space, OFF1 update and progress on OFF3, hopefully "near term".

And it looks like one or more institutional buyers are still very active with the regular flows of "unknowns" still being reported.
