Agreed it's a large spread, but it isn't sell only, that's misleading. The consolidation was for pragmatic commercial reasons, CEG need the institutional money, it's that simple. Let's see what happens once the Chevron deal is rubber stamped, the MM's are going to have a nightmare.

Can't buy at the moment, can't even get a quote via II. I suspect that this will be an issue in the future as so much of the company is owned/held by a few Aussie players and institutions. Also many long term holders will just hold on to their shares as for them it isn't worth selling. This is going to cause some volatility and spikes over the next few months. Any body else having similar issues.

It isn't the third consolidation, you seem to be forgetting that BPC took over LGO, not the other way round! You really are clueless JB I don't think you know the first thing about this company or AIM O&G for that matter. Also as a non shareholder you have more front than Brighton beach to even comment on this share. Take it elsewhere.

That's just over 2p in pre-consolidation money, so if good progress is made with Chevron and OFF3 is farmed out it is a distinct possibility. It may take a year or two though!

Hello MMP, how does a consolidation provide the board with salaries? Also why would you look at the balance sheet of an AIM E&P explorer? It won't tell you about the Chevron deal or the Uruguay potential, it's an historic document that doesn't give you an up to date picture of where the company is going next. The boards salaries will be kept going by the farm out to Chevron, once the $12.5m lands. This companies share price is primarily linked to potential, it is a punt and largely depends on how Chevron want to play it from here, we won't get much of a say! If you are a long term holder then I hope you see some improvement in your net position, but as discussed elsewhere it is only likely to be holders who have averaged down that MAY see some or all of their money recouped, it is a gamble. That's correct but not in that order, the consolidation was flagged ages ago and both of these are good news/positive for the company.

Farm out number one with Chevron has plenty of potential, I agree though a second farm out would be the icing on the cake. Wouldn't be surprised if Uruguay sign off on Chevron this month. Fingers crossed.

LSE make me laugh. They've reported the 35m share purchase on the 28th by a director as "unknown" despite publishing the RNS today, you couldn't make it up!
