Exactly Bunter. If `barriers to entry' are so low for self-learning cybersecurity, wonder why critical infrastructure organisations in the USA chose Darktrace over home-grown larger companies like Crowdstrike? https://www.darktrace.com/en/press/2021/377/
Thanks for posting. All basically shows that Oyvind Burk of Peel Hunt knows nothing about cybersec, self-learning AI or network analysis. `barriers to entry are low'?!
Utter travesty, as will be shown soon enough.
Gafg, agree, so obviously market manipulation, no shortage of buyers, no bad news, nonsensical drops and kept in auction a couple of times, shutting out PIs. From information Nidec provided before we'll be in the FTSE anyway now and fully expect the price to keep rising from here now they've loaded up cheaply.
Just a polite request. As we all know, derampers/rampers love to spread disinfo and sometimes - especially on days like this - it's easy to confuse FUD with Fact!
I always try to include a link to anything I reference as proof. It just helps keep this board friendly and informative too, especially when the Big Boys of the Market are trying to work our heads. :-)
Welcome all new holders btw. :-)
Market games. As Bladerunner stated, they're likely walking the price down for II's. FTSE inclusion, analysts up targets for `Buy', Tesco's hack in the spotlight and great PR in the States where we're protecting essential inifrastructure... Absolutely no logical reason for a drop!

Although this is about US-China shipping, will apply to UK and elsewhere too. Good news for LUCE surely?
I've had no advice off wise relatives Giraffe, however your Grandfather's advice makes good sense. I bought back into LUCE last week having sold out many moons ago at a very good profit. I regretted selling, so thrilled to be able to buy back in at these prices. As you say, people need lighting, particularly LED. Great management here too, the DW Winsor takeover is a very shrewd move. GLA.
Marna, there is protection with credit cards and I daresay most banks if cyber-crime is proven. The real damage to businesses with cyber-attacks is reputational, because loss of that leads to loss of customers. No-one wants the hassle of having to change all their passwords or being spammed with phone calls/emails.
When I think of Sony I think of cameras, but also the hack of their customer database a good few years ago!
On a personal level it's just good to be aware of how hackers can use personal information and ensure we don't give them enough pieces to enact identity theft or scams: https://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/advice/my-personal-data-has-been-lost-after-a-breach-what-are-my-rights-apxxn8T7K8ai
Grotty, good to see you back posting! Pretty much right, except as I understand it, if enabled Antigena will not only send an alert, but also act independently to shut down the attack by closing the routes being used.
Well done Marna, you never know, every little helps as the old cliche goes! :-)))
Just been nosing round the Fortinet website to contrast and compare, it's not very inspiring. They claim to offer AI-enabled products however there's nothing on their website about machine-learning, and as we know, the term `AI' can cover the gamut. From what I can tell, their service alerts the in-house IT service, which of course it being a weekend, would have to physically go in or attempt to manage remotely. They may have shut down all parts of the site dealing with orders as a precautionary measure.
DARK's self-learning AI adapts to the normal traffic of each customer and acts independently when it detects a suspicious event/activity, therefore would have minimised the disruption more effectively imho.
Did have to laugh at Asda's reaction, very astute and may well pinch a few customers.
Henry I presumed you were referring to Sarup's question about a dip. Sarup, Henry's right, this was heavily discussed, scroll back a bit. Basically a suck it and see imo.
I'm still convinced the SP was walked down that day. Miniscule buy and sell trade amounts and buys/sells lower than the SP spread that preceded them interspersed with `normal' trade amounts. I'd be interested if anyone's seen that here or elsewhere and got any knowledge of it I've missed?
Doesn't state whether the hack was actually successful (probably ransomware), but clearly they had to go offline to try to contain it. Someone please tweet them that they should have gone to Darktrace. :-)))
On a serious note, this shows the sort of disruption even an attempt can make to business. Cybersec back in the headlines as we join the FTSE100 is certainly good for DARK.
