710 might be a tad high but im not quibbling. We now IIs want something in the 7s but that is also likely a bargaining ploy and not a definitive line in the sand. Next obvious bid is 675p and investors would not reject 700p, id guess. So yes maybe 710 -- but why about 700, giving IIs more than theyre reportedly asking? A bidding war and hello 750p +
Osaka, what's your take? (Apols if I missed in earlier posts). If they reject a higher bid, say 650p, you think the board could grow the share price to that in the short term?
Right, but what I mean is that the big funds must believe 625p is entirely reachable in the short term. So maybe as shareholders it's a win-win. But I think this drama is far from played out yet!
It's interesting that the big funds aren't biting on the 625p offer and turning on the board to accept. To me that indicates that they are holding out for more -- and/or also believe EasyJet can reach 625p organically in the coming months. If they didn't believe that, why wouldn't they take the money and run now?
Yes i'd have thought a sweetened offer incoming. you don't lay all your cards on the table then walk away. Castlelake will know they're close with this offer but will still need to convince institutions. obviously it all may come to nothing but highly unlikely that this is the end.
Also, Castlelake are not saying this is their final and best offer. Presumably they still have room to move to 650p or maybe even 675p. I guess they'll gauge interest and then come in with a slightly sweetened offer if needed to get the deal over the line.
Yes, exactly. not even touching the current targets, which don't account for the contract, the guaranteed sales, the end of litigation. well, at least it presents a buying opportunity.
Hi all. New investor to iqe, jumped in at 53p when the dust settled after the tremendous Tower announcement. Is it safe to assume brokers will be upping their 60p targets in light of the deal? Clearly no financials have been released yet, but were the targets set BEFORE the Tower announcement and the resolution of the copyright battle? If so I imagine we will get another re-rate, but let me know your thoughts. Many thanks and gla.
Hi all. I have taken up my basic entitlement and also oversubscribed. Anyone have any insights into the oversubscription process? Would they have already alerted me if my oversubscription was successful (or not)? Or do we need to wait until the final Monday deadline to see where the chips fall? Thanks.
Can the price go negative? The market will be paying us to take them off their hands soon. So disappointing. I'd abandon ship, but I'm already at the bottom of the ocean.
@grappa, I truly hope you're correct -- the fact I posted about jam tomorrow previously proves my point. I remember when they announced a deal with a Chinese manufacturer, I believe it was...not long after that, the stock price was under a penny. They tried hotels and that didn't come to much either. I think everyone invested believes in the tech--they just need to find a market for it. I'll put away the jam...for now...
I am doubtful but hopeful this is a sustained rise -- it's always been jam tomorrow for this company, jam that doesn't come out in the wash. Have they finally found a market for the technology?
