How does 3.51% overcome the bigger institutional investors who are voting YES?
Are we assuming those involved in prior capital raises at higher prices will vote no?
If they were willing to pay, say, 16.5p, I'd vote yes. 13.5p is just a little too low given where the share price already was prior to takeover news.
Well it's hedged below 2000 & above 2150 so unless gold shoots above 2150 ASAP, it's not "costing" us anything while providing significant downside protection.
The hedge should only cover us until midyear or thereabout, so you'd need gold to really crack on from here for it to matter.
The hedge gives me a lot more comfort that they're not as inept as I thought they were
It's an excellent hedge. Gold might get beyond 2150 in the next 6 months, but we've only hedged 60koz out of 160k to 200k, so there's definitely substantial upside to hum if gold goes up a lot.
And the price could definitely break down below 2000 if the Fed doesn't lower rates for a while!
Agreed it's the forward looking view that matters, but the incessant inability to meet prior guidance will increasingly undermine any forward looking guidance.
How can we believe HUM at this point? Let's not forget first gold pour at Kou was June 2023, and 8 months later it's still not operational. This suggests ineptitude, both at operating a mine and giving guidance
Confirmed: voted NO for 48000 shares
I have 45000 shares and am definitely voting no... Thanks for the directions to the H&L voting page
They mentioned last week that it would be operational again in a few days, but who really knows... The situation seems pretty precarious, getting fuel delivered via other means. Probably adds to the cost, so expect a higher AISC
Agree that brexit has trashed the British economy. I live in London and it's pretty clear it's not been good news - I don't need the news to tell me as much.
They didn't capitalise because they cannot seem to get the ounces out the ground. Gold price only matters if you're actually selling 200k Oz pa, which is a pipe dream for HUM
Voting isn't available on H&L yet... Can anyone confirm?
If only the price of gold was remotely relevant to HUM. Lol
Their issue is they can't deliver the ounces so it doesn't really matter what they can sell it for! Gold at all time highs and unfortunately they cannot capitalise
Thanks for the reply!
I'm with H&L and cannot see a voting button. Is it only accessible via the desktop site and not the app?
I've sold most but retained some in case there's a no vote and this thing has life.
