RE: Conversion of Condor Gold in MTL Shares21 Feb 2025 19:23
CNR shareholders selling their shares cheaply is why you've got the opportunity to buy more at 6p. Once the overhang is gone, I reckon the share price will go up
Yes, MTL had no revenues after Run, but the profits from run are twice what the market cap was, and they were always going to use that money to invest elsewhere.
Most ppl invested in MTL didn't think the company would cease to exist in 2 years lol
I made about 40% on SHANTA but still consider myself to have been shafted as they were literally printing money and got bought out on the cheap. AIM is dirty.
What you seem to be missing, Surrey, is that I'm calling the lack of movement a buying opportunity. There's not much sense in buying AFTER it's doubled, is there? As I said I've been invested here since 3.5p which means... Checks notes... I'm up quite a lot
The bad deal that CNR got is obviously the good deal that MTL got. Lol. I got shafted in SHANTA so I understand how it feels. But the future here looks very bright, and the only reason I'm able to top up at these prices is because disgruntled ex CNR holders are gifting me their shares
Buybacks are usually a tax efficient way of returning capital. While the company was growing it was issuing shares, it makes sense that it would unwind some of that once it has positive cash flows
Agree with badger. Rampers are far more dangerous than naysayers. A little skepticism is healthy, assuming you know better than the market is risky business
This makes no sense. CGT is only ever a portion of your gains. If you've maxed out your ISA and think the current share price is a steal, the potential CGT issues make no sense to me!
