Averaged down to around £0.26 today. Knew the risk with this one, but still surprised at the rate of the drop. Hoping some patience will pay off.
Interesting run of buys of very round numbers 16:13 to 16:15 before it ticked up. Someone is still loading up…
Volume minimal today, but SP continues to tick up. Keep it coming please.
HODL is cool kid talk for holding crypto. RNS basically says that Argo is giving argo labs 10% of their bitcoin to look at trading and other ways to create revenue streams linked to crypto. Its good news in the sense that it represents diversification from mining but like any business investment carries risk.
Not sure we can say london office is a waste. Likely to be an appreciating asset on the balance sheet bought at a low point in the market for obvious reasons. Id prefer this approach rather than carrying lease liabilities, even with a grace period.

Igas never reflects particularly well on OGT comparisons. They show EV at over £90m which is much higher than I calculate. The majority of the EV I assume to be so high as it is including non current liabilities which I see are provisions for decommisioning sites much of which will be many years away (Some well over 30 years according to Igas). Can I ask for any views on whether including these form of non current liabilities in EV is normal practice? I would normally consider these against assets on the balance sheet in conjunction with the EV. Surely all the work on repurposing below ground assets also has the potential to significantly affect these long term liabilities?
Just grabbed £3k myself under 28p. Showing as sells.
I have to be honest and say that today's update is underwhelming. I feel a bit patronised by the 5 weekend 127% figure in the last update which will also be a factor in the drop in Nov figures. The target footfall was 90% by year end and even with the roaring success of Spiderman this does not seem to have been quite achieved. I still feel Cineworld is a well run business which is in this circumstance through no fault of its own and that cinemas have a bright future, but I have just sold some and intend downsizing exposure further as my confidence in the speed of their potential recovery has taken a knock. There will be a bump in the inevitable renegotiated selltlement with CP, but that could also drag on and hang for some time. Hope to be proved wrong.
Morgan, I never predict SPs , but I think this will rise. I think that all of the headwinds are more than priced in at the current level. I was rightly corrected on here before when I said that inflation normally hits bottom end of market where it is all volumes on small margins, but as pointed out CARD has excellent gross margins so plenty of opportunity to absorb and pass on some increase with limited impact. Inflationary pressures may be over egged, logistical issues will resolve themselves and the impact of servicing a reducing debt should all help before a more push to grow revenue is even accounted for.
Topped up £2k @ 0.5469. Would like more but not great timing for this opportunity. Didn't think we'd see 50s again.
BB15 - Agree with your summary. I suspect that there are a lot of short sighted investers here looking for a spectacular recovery which when mixed with significant shorts could go some way to explaining the SP. I believe this is a really solid business model, producing decent revenue and margins and that it is better placed than many competitiors to continue increasing market share through other companies store closures. Disappointed with the drop, but unless I'm missing something, I think it will stabilise and begin to build up agin over the coming weeks/months.
Projecting over £70m EBITDA 21/22 and a further £27m of debt reduction. I’m happy.
End of Sept ARB was over £1.20 when Bit was £43k. Bitcoin back at $43k, Hodl much bigger, progress made on expansion and the SP is below £0.90. Obviously bitcoin has yet to fully recover sentiment it had in Sept, but this still represents great value IMO.
We always seem to take a hit on Nasdaq opening then it rises throughout the day after LSE closes...
Going bust :)
No debt, cash in the bank, a great new product... Your assumed disappointment at the time to commercialise latest product shouldn't be exagerated.
I'm not sure I agree - the isssue with hyped stocks is that they attract fickle investors looking for a short term return and chase the hype all over the place. Not knocking their strategy as they can get significant double digit percentages many places most days if they are lucky. In my opiinion many of these stocks are hyped for good reason but will often require much more patience than is suggested as they spike on rumours or news. I bought in yesterday as the company reportedly have a good prouct with significant potential and I tend to agree that although Covid is on the way out, testing of some form will remain for some time. I'd love to have bought in at the bottom of the retreat but expected the volume to drop off and SP to bounce around high 20s/low 30s until any commercialisation news. GLA and DYOR
I use the mode app for bitcoin.
Just bought in. Sat on the sidelines for a while after the spike, but the risk reward stacks up for me at this level. GLA
Chaebol - If I felt like that I probably wouldn't spend my time here. You are very charitable helping everyone else to avoid losing their money...
Chaebol - there is no expert consensus on Bitcoin short term projections, but I am seeing more reports suggesting $40k bottom with upturn incoming now than predicting further significant drops. No one really knows, but I'm happy to gamble on an increase.
Pennylots - Allthough they may have helped orchistrate the pushback, it wasn't the green agenda that stopped fracking, rather the concerns around seismic activity generation from the NIMBYs. I do agree that it would make sense to revisit the decisions given our energy crisis, but don't hold much hope in the near future. IGas would skyrocket with any credible movement in this area.
IP - Agree - hope this is a dynamic appointment. IGas are trying lots of divesification methods, but I'd like to see them push harder and shout a little louder...
