Since you started this campaign of buyback those dips,I often wonder how many have done so only to see the share price drop and therefore lose money.It reminds me almost of PPI and we all know what happened there.When queried your defence is that this a message to UBS,but i do not see any qualification accompanying your posts. Do what you like but how do you explain that more shares are in issue than before the buybacks started and thus how this scheme is beneficial to.anyone?Have you looked at your own holding and considered the pluses and minuses and actually calculated have you made or lost money? I do not want to know your private financial affairs but speaking for myself there has been no financial benefit from buybacks indeed the opposite.Many will say give it 10 years, but the current problems with buybacks will just compound whatever the period. Throw inflation into this and we are going (buy)backwards.

Good point well made as they say.I have a different opinion to most on Lloyds I would have liked to see the dividend increasing to a level where it was such that fund Manager of whatever ilk could see this is a must have share for their liquidity and to provide higher cash payouts to their patrons.I have always been negative on buybacks not because they are intrinsically harmful but because they do not advertise the benefits of being in Lloyds as well as the dividend.It has also been highlighted that enhanced staff bonuses to encourage more involvement hasn`t been fully presented.Staff get shares for meeting targets and a job well done, fair enough but we are in the dark as to how many shares are being issued and will need to be issued in the future to accommodate this enhanced scheme. Yes encourage staff but do so by cash payments annually so the profits and liabilities can be seen in the accounts and build a very strong balance sheet that will attract share buyers and increase value for all investors. In brief give the staff,share holders and investments houses more money and you will be rewarded with a higher share price. Morning all.
