More serious question, with hedge funds reducing shorts and therefore also reducing their longs to minimise risk, do we think this will have an effect on more established stocks like BP?

Ouch, wish I’d listened to my earlier advice instead of FOMOing in at 127! Sold some other shares to get a bit more in at 117, should come good in the end but that was painful!

Agreed, I sold all my gamestop yesterday at 8x purchase price (if only I’d bought more!), not because I don’t think the gamma squeeze will work, but because I think regulators may well strike, plus a number of online brokerages were either down or not allowing gme to be traded, so I got out while I still could! Staging in PFE till at least 1.30 though

Sold out yesterday to go fully in on PFC and GME, rode the train up a bit and back into BP at 275 with half. Will probably buy more next week once theres a clearer view of direction of travel

In an actual dilemma now, my 19 shares have against all odds made some worthwhile profit if the after hours price sticks. The rational part of me says just sell it all this is insane, but the part of me that got me into it in the forst place says ride it out see if the friday gamma squeeze really can work.. this play wasnt supposed to go so well!

This is a funny one as obviously I only have a finite amount of money, so trying to decide which of the rockets to try and catch atm is hard! I’m mostly going with PFC, but not enjoying watching BP heading up with such a small position while this stalls..

Any idea why they are doing better than BP today? They usually seem pretty matched

In my opinion it depends on how long term you’re looking. Medium to long term this is a great entry price. You might get a few % discount in the coming days and weeks, but nothing is certain

Missed this, who was it who said so? If it was a government ministerial announcement then in all honesty based on recent form it’ll be 48 hours before Peston’s twitter account announces a ban, and another 12 hours before it comes into place..

Lets see what the usual 14.30 US open battering brings, might be time to double down at that point
