Sidi would appear to be much bigger than Tendrara was thought to be when this adventure began.

We have become far too blasé about world class numbers.

I would say that the constant criticism of JP by our resident paid prossies has had an effect. Remember the Shard and JP said 10tcf and Mary mentioned 25tcf. That was the first time numbers so big were mentioned. 4 figure sp was also said by James. But where are we now? 10 or 25 tcf are now in a professionally carried out analysis of the licenses. Oil might be present, the Paleozoic might be as prolific as in Algeria. And the sp languishes and the expectations of holders get lower and lower.

I put some of this down to the short termism of AIM, but a lot is down to the relentless ****ging off of JP by the cocktards.

Imagine if Brian had been presenting exactly the same info as he did yesterday, but as exploration director of BG. Nobody would doubt that huge numbers could be present. Huge numbers. World class basin.

But chip, chip, chip away with the negativity and everybody’s sights get lowered.

Nil desperandum! Gird up your cojones, guys and gals(?). If we have exploration success, Brian has made sure that the seismic models will support a suitor in establishing the presence of mighty volumes of gas.

Brian obviously had a bit of a tussle with those people who wanted to drill away merrily. He has put the whole operation on a very professional footing, and one which a suitor will have confidence in when they come to the data room.

And a lot of Sound holders DO also hold Echo. I expect to see £2 a share there after next year’s big campaign. A few weeks ago, it wasn’t so high but recent big find is going to be a whopper.

I want to keep Sidi and spin it off into a company called Cooper Energy and the logo would be a Fez. I�ll get my coat. Just like that.

So, if we bring in a partner to drill Sidi, will it be: a) someone new, perhaps SDX would like to use some of their cash flow to attack a bigger prospect in Morocco or a completely new entrant; or b) a potential suitor for the whole company? I would like to think that it would be a). But surely that option would make buying Sidi with the rest of Sound less attractive. I really hope that Sidi is spun off into Sound 4 and we all get free shares in a new vehicle.

I only bought my first tranche at lunchtime. This is going to get away from me.

The pipeline on the property has a finite capacity. It was Gary's stated intention to test from bottom hole up until enough gas was being produced to use up that capacity. Clearly, the need to frac the lowest levels caused them to re-examine their plans. It appears that they do not believe that fraccing will be needed higher up and so they are going for it. Not a decision to be taken lightly. Roll on some revenue so we can attack Alvares.

I was expecting the exploration drills this year to be more transformational. The multi TCF wells will come in 2019. I see this drifting down and I hope to top up in single figures. But on the other hand, my attempts at trading always turn into fiascos.

A few comments: 1. It's not only gains but lopsses which have to be reported. If you don't report your loss in the tax year in which it was incurred, you cannot then use it to offset gains in future years. If you do, then you can carry losses forward. 2. It's only realised gains/losses. i.e when you sell a share, you calculate the gain/loss according to the HMRC rules. 3. You should report your gains and losses in the tax year the "chargeable event" (the sale in tax lingo) occurred. You show the calculation for each set of sales for each share and then deduct the annual allowance and any available losses carried forward from previous years(if any). 4. You should consider selling shares you have losses on before the end of the tax year and get your wife or husband to buy them right back. That way you have a loss for tax purposes to use in the future. You cannot just buy them back yourself, as the revenue will consider any buy-back by you as not having happened if it is within 30 days. My missus and I will be doing that and using ISA allowance. That way we will end up with exactly the same portfolio, another �40K of it in ISAs and a bunch of tax losses to use later when we make gains. Keep the records as you go, do the paperwork and everything is hunky dory with HMRC.

The Sound board is crap these days. Children squabbling. FattyR winding everybody up. Trolls everywhere. It's boredom. Every tiny detail has been examined and dissected to the n-th degree. Can't stay away though. Addicted.

Why would SOU holders sell in the short term? We want to be in on the ground floor of another JP project. ECHO is going to be an exciting ride, no reason why CORO shouldn't be as well. I'll be holding and probably looking to add over time. Not going to jump in too fast.

Aussie minnow MPE

Wh know there is a lot of gas in Tulainyo. The 2015 drill found it and downhole problems stopped them testing it. Also, it's a lot shallower than Dempsey, with TD being 1700m. Also, Aussie minnow hace a big chunk of it. CRC got spun off from Oxy with huge debt, so need to go cap in hand for exploration money. Dempsey will come good, eventually. SGC are funded for Alvares. They'll be looking on with interest at Tulainyo.

Hi guys, it's time for me to update my spreadsheets for the year end. I always have sp targets for the year and the sp for the end game. They're obviously not always accurate, but I need to have high enough expectations fo a share to balance the risk, and if a share isn't living up to the hype I need to consider whether to hold or sell or adjust the size of my holding. Consequently, I would appreciate any opinions about end 2017 sp and ultimate sp target for me to mull over. I'm posting similar requests on several other shares's BBs. Thanks Jimbo
