Er, because Wood announced a series of car-crash RNS releases over the last few months, which caught everyone by surpirse.

Icecool, lets' park whether or not Sidara's makes a formal bid (it will obviously happen when Wood satisfies Sidara's preconditions as per Wood's own RNS statements on this subject), and I ask you this very simple question...

If Wood does not want/need to sell to Sidara, then why didn't Wood tell Sidara 'to take their cheeky informal offer with conditions of 35p per share etc and shove it where the sun doesn't shine' (or words to that effect) months ago?

@EbbsandFlows I have looked at CH's purchase and it definately adds up. It is a fast payback and somewhat of a cash-cow for the company in terms of revenues.

I have read through Zephyr's RNS' and watched CH's interview.

CH and BOD very confident with capital raise oversubscribed.

The purchase is for the right asset ($4M per year revenue) at the right time. Payback on Zephyr's investment will be very quick. Further drilling and production will continue in that asset. Therefore, future increasing revenue is assured from that asset.

With regards to the excess cash raised yesterday (over and above purchase of the asset) - this is vital. It is important that when Zephyr holds discussions/negotiations with investors and partners that is does so from a position of strength i.e. strong management, and financials in terms of strong balance sheet and cash/liquidity. Few investors/partners want to hold discussions/negotiations with management of companies that are inempt or weak with regards to their own financial position i.e. 'fly by night operators'.

It is for the above reasons (and a several more) that I think this Zephyr capital raise for acquisition and cash is very positive for Zephyr and its shareholders.

In 6 months from now when Zephyr's share price has increased substantially from 3p due to further developments and investor confidence, it is likely that current Zephyr shareholders (who do not already have an average buy of 3p) will think 'Why didn't I top up at 3p'?! due to this one-off capital raise that has pushed the Zephyr share price lower.

For me, my average is pretty decent (I added in December when the Zephyr share price was a bargain), so I am happy to wait to add further. That said, if this share price happens to drop to 2.5p on bad news I will very happily add more.

CH has just added significant value to Zephyr with current and future revenue streams from a tried and proven asset with further potential. Plus extra cash in the bank.

Someone on this Zephyr discussion board asked is CH's 20p prediction on Zephyr's share price 'deluded or extremely confident?' I think a slow and steady increase from the current level of 3p to 7-10p is not that bigger ask on positive news flow over the next 3-6 months...with 18-20p on eventual takeover.

Zephyr is to me, as my son's girlfiend is to him...she's a keeper.

Zephyr will remain firmly in my stock portfolio as an AIM stock with clear and present potential, which just got better. I have no intention to sell, only add.

AimMaster said she will wait for a major event...no oil produced, inflation at 38%, world war 3...? No. Capita appears to be on the slow and steady rise again, therefore, AimMaster is back and invested...she can smell the money!

I will add the same comment I made a short while back:

'Based on the RNS Deloitee's review, the Wood accounts will likely be bad. Wood is for sale that much is clear. If not, why does the Wood BOD simply tell Sidara to take a running jump with their 35p per share and $450M for Wood informal offer with conditions and/or not extend talks with Sidara beyond 30 June?! The answer is simple and is there for all to see, Wood needs Sidara's offer and in particular the cash injection for Wood in order to strengthen the balance sheet and liquidity, which in turn enables Wood's lenders to renew debt facilities under reasonable commercial terms. Time will tell, but I am pretty certain I am right.'

It ought to become clearer on/before 30 June with the next RNS, which I predict will state that Wood and Sidara are still at the table working together and with banks on Sidara's pre-conditions and that the extention is for another 21-30 days. One step closer and all that.

Wood is a nice stock to be somewhat heavily invested in...if you enjoy roller coaster rides that is. Some of my best investment returns have been made on the back of roller-coaster rides!

Zephyr’s share price was £2.40 on 11 December 2025. There was no capital raise then. After the capital raise yesterday the share price is now £3 05. Technically Zephyr even after the capital raise and shareholder dilution yesterday is a far stronger company now, and enjoys a higher share price than the £2.40 it was on 11 December 2025.

Just pointing out the obvious really, and keeping it all in perspective.

The fact that the placing is oversubscribed tells me that those in the know, know Zephyr is an AIM listed stock with clear and present growth potential and the future looksvery bright indeed.

Zephyr now has more assets, a stronger balance sheet, cash, and the only downside is a temporarily lower share price. When production starts the share price will rocket.

Zephyr has coincidentally timed the purchase just at the point when the Middle East is in turmoil and oil and gas prices will probably rise further.

II know I said I wouldn’t add until production starts, however at the current lowish share price, combined with one or two positive RNS reports over the next few weeks ,I may add further.

@Garonne I thought you had sold out of Prudential a while back...I've been asking after you lately, as I wondered if you were enjoying the ride upwards from £6.00 (as predicted by JO)! Are you now invested in Prudential once more?

@CraigJD Good point re SavageKeyboard - he ought to earn a gold star or bottletop for his continued effort into de-ramping this Capita stock. All to no avail of course!

Mind you, I always like to listen to SK, as after I fall onto th floor rolling with laughter...whatever he says, I do the opposite. I happened to mention to SK that I invested in Pruidential Plc at £6.00 in January 2025, and he slated me for it over and over...it is now worth £9.10. Thanks for the 'investment advice' SK I owe you a pint or three! Lol

These are the 4 reasons as to why you cannot get worthwhile intelligent info on this Wood discussion board:

1. This stock is in suspension (due to accounts not submitted in time).

2. Wood has received an informal offer with conditions from Sidara (therefore Wood-Sidara is a very tight ship with little/no meaningful news to report).

3. Given the above 2 points, there is little to discuss, other than shooting the breeze with other posters here.

4. Most importantly, the vast majority of posters here have weird and wonderful names like: Icecool (aka Icehot - always gets hot under the collar especially with regards to the Wood CEO, BOD, accounts and anyone with a difference in opinion from his/her own), FroggleBoggle (...enough said!), Rock8 (rumour has it that Rocks1-7 were banned from this Wood discussion board), PeanutInvestor (Invests only in penny stocks, hence the name 'Peanut' Investor), MrGonzo (has a very similar appearance to 'Gonzo' from 'The Muppet Show'), Robert00 (Robert's official IQ as reported by Rocks1-7), Dazpink (a smart dresser whose whites are brighter than bright, due to 3-4 'Dazpink washing powder' laundry pods added to each wash), Foolshope (Founder of Gambler Anonymous), Pokerchips (Longest-serving member of Gambler Anonymous), and now shonkyalice (Collins Definitions of 'shonky' Australian and New Zealand informal: 1. of dubious integrity or legality 2. unreliable; unsound).

Therefore is it any wonder why it is so difficuilt to obtain 'worthwhile intelligent info on this board'? As to Point 4, thank goodness for those very few on this Wood discussion board with sensible names like JamesOxford (James from Oxford or JO to my friends here) to provide intelagant, intelligiant, intela...smart info!

Sorry - my bad. I quickly read your post and mis-interpreted. I thought you said/implied that Icecool is a man and now claims he has biologically changed to a woman. That is why I sprung to Icecool's defense, and asked for proof - as I had not read that Icecool had him/her self made any such statement/claim.

My sincere apologies to Urraca and Icecool...and anyone else who may have been inadvertently affected/triggered by any of the above.

Capita continues to gain traction in terms of confidence and investment.

I do feel sorry for AimMaster who decided to sell out at £2.82 a short while back imho.

I do not feel sorry for SavageKeyboard who never invested so has missed the boat completely lol.

@Banburyboy @Adon You have both made some valid points. I am not concerned, as for me, the capital raise was the best option (quick, clean, easy with no debt) for the acquisition (which I view as a plus in terms of revenues and assets), and will improve Zephyr's balance sheet and cash flow. Now we wait for the RNS on the accounts and CH's commentary around that.

Well I did not expect that RNS from Zephyr - not yet anyway.

It is no secret that CH has always wanted to carry out acquisitions. I can understand if some Zephyr shareholders wanted to participate, but personally, I am not bothered about the capital raise, as I will not add further to my holding until production is under way.

On the plus side, it means a pretty decent acquisition and the cash will be raised pretty much immediately. It ought to make Zephyr a stronger company in terms of revenues (extra $4 million in the first 12 months alone), balance sheet, cash flow, and negotiations with partners/investors going forward.

Further, it ought to entice more confidence and therefore investment in Zephyr from institutional investors.

Overall, I think this play is a positive for Zephyr.

You say you are invested in Wood, and yet you yourself are critical of others who stay invested in Wood, when you do not think they should have?! Hmmm, very odd, to say the least. It is rather pompus of you to claim to know the motivations and investment timelines of other investors in Wood. BTW I have determined that you are not AimMaster after all. AimMaster has far more commonsense.
