Back to the matter at hand, the reason the word from the street is currently silent, is due to the fact that any other bidder needs to fork out a minimum of 35p per share (to beat Sidara's 30p per share i.e. $219 million), take over Wood's debt of $1.6 billion, and inject $450 million cash into Wood (to match Sidara and keep Wood's lenders happy). Not to mention cash-flow issues since 2017 to date, contracts on pause, employees with low morale, nervous suppliers, disgruntled banks/lenders, annoyed investors, the FCA on the case...
Now all of the above is a big ask for any potential buyer. Balls of steel need only apply!
