Aim in general seems to have lost so much more,big miners halved but the tiddlers seem to have been decimated as I've noticed with Lonmin and Aquarius platinum for instance....I'll exercise patience!!

Usual suspects,ifl,mwana,red rock,iofina,thor,afr,fogl,iae,gkp,pvr....around thirty or so all it can say is thank goodness for the mains and my discipline keeping them separate....surprised they're worth anything frankly!

Busy day on site plus flogged yesterday's ved for a small profit,quite a day range on that one and will no doubt be revisiting if she drops again. Bp ex this week I think, already got loads but tempting with a 3 in front. Spec p/f now 81.5% down,easily done and not chasing anything!!! Cheers for the links Troj.

I guess that caused a cost over run as well as a lot of hassle eh! These commodities have certainly taken a tumble but also creating some interesting buying opportunities bud. I'm glad you had some gains at some point on gkp,hopefully will come back for you and all the long termers,drifted in and out of them a few times but only hold a token these days.

Well hopefully the cyclical nature of these things will kick in soon bud,normally does!! No haven't seen him around I must admit but sometimes it's best to keep a low profile when there's not much good cheer amongst our stuff,hope he's okay. I'll address the nesting box situation very soon bud!!

Evening all,glad to hear you've been doing a bit DP!! Troj,what's happened to our miners??? Forgetting the small stuff added more glencore a smidge over 2 quid and toe dipped back in ved under 4....again! Averaged down on gvc holdings and premier farnell and flogged the recent drax actually at a profit....forgot what that was like lol!! Still busy moving stuff around and assisting with barn extending back home after a few days of building log stores etc from leftovers. I daren't look at my spec p/f in too much detail after a quick peruse here....!!

Evening all,thanks for the links Troj. Glad to see Glaxo moving up a bit. A few up today and still holding drax despite being in profit now! Hopelessly in the red on most but better than yesterday. Not following gkp or the other ones until any of them break even in the spec account then I'll have a closer look. Bought back a few Ithaca today plus a nervous dip back into moni...Added more premier farnell in today's drop....they dropped more aaarghhhhh!!

So we didn't hit the bottom last week then! Ouch just checked mine and beginning to wish I hadn't! Took a small loss on some of my trusty yielders today and tucked into a few Aberdeen asset management,Jemi under a quid and a handful of latchways. Worst ever day on my two biggest Aberdeen Latin and Blackrock commodities but focusing on the positives at least mwana hasn't gone bust! I sold ved on the ex div day but am now sitting on chunky losses on the rest of the miners, in fact in just about everything lol!! I guess now is the time to sit back and try and pick a few more year lows in quality!

Just walked on it bizarely bud,seems quite stable and aided by a drying wind plus a sunny interval!! Who knows with the miners,good time to buy the biggies for a contrarian like me but also aware that yields could be 'excuses' southwards who knows! Main thing is we're youngish,relatively healthy and can still afford to smoke lol!! Rosie lost interest in the building work when her boyfriend arrived for garden play...typical gender specific but not being gender specific about it lol!!! Hope the shifts okay bud and sleep happening better these days...mine isn't,some bloke at the end of my drive this morning before seven looking for a home for a concrete pump lorry(more like a crane with lorry accessory!) whilst I was moving the truck in my dressing gown plays havoc with my normal behaviour for sure!!!

Evening all. Yes rain very welcome for the gardens AA. Glad to see you did well on jubilee. Shuffled around a few this afternoon and bought more drax,Tate,glencore,rio,billiton,Aquarius platinum,Lonmin ,bp,Glaxo and shell B. Flogged off Lancashire,games workshop,tulletts,icap,most of the remaining helphire(now called redd) plus some other bits and pieces. I think the big miners and big oils need to bounce now!!! Annoyed about the new dividend tax,only just found out about it after reading the IC for a change...you'd think we've had enough bad news this year eh!!

That's quite a benchmark AA and helps explain why my p/f is becoming uncomfortable viewing with the commodities,ouch! Troj,glad to see you talking proper imperials there bud,around 4 inches of concrete on top of the same insulation then membrane(are they uv resistant...thinking pond liners?) then scalpings compacted.
